You can take the man from the mountain but you can’t take the mountain from the man.
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush
What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander
A person’s mouth often broke his nose
You can’t put an old head on young shoulders
You can bring a horse to the water but you can’t make him drink
An idle man tempts the devil.
Time and tide doth wait for no man
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush
What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander
A person’s mouth often broke his nose
You can’t put an old head on young shoulders
You can bring a horse to the water but you can’t make him drink
An idle man tempts the devil.
Time and tide doth wait for no man
Many is the man who has reared another man's child
Seldom is wonderful
The proof of the pudding is in the eating
Live, horse, and you will get grass
Hunger is a good sauce
Eaten bread is soon forgotten
Love many, trust few and always paddle your own canoe.
A windy day is not a day for thatching
Far off hills are green
The wheel turns full circle
Marriage is not a word. It is a sentence-a life sentence
There are four Rings associated with marriage: The Engagement Ring, The Wedding Ring, The Suffe-Ring and The Endu-Ring
As obsolescent as the California Condor

"Time and tide doth wait for no man," has been on sun dials for hundreds of years. I have it on one in my collection. My grandfather used to say, "An impatient man is a grave diggers friend."
Another expression which has just come to mind is "it is better than a kick from a donkey"
