Astronauts Help Launch New Pro Life Ad

Dr. Kerwin calls ad ‘great tribute’ to 40th anniversary of Apollo 11

HOUSTON – Dr. Joseph Kerwin, the first American doctor in outer space, joined other former NASA greats today at a press conference in Houston to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11’s historic landing on the moon with a new ad by CatholicVote.org.

“For thousands of years, man has looked at the moon and the stars in awe. But forty years ago, we did the unthinkable: We landed on the moon. This new ad by CatholicVote.org captures the spirit of this historic mission by highlighting the potential of human life,” said Dr. Kerwin.

Gene Krantz, best known as the flight director at mission control manager during Apollo 13, was also on hand to premiere the ad.

Brian Burch, President of CatholicVote.org, said that putting a man on the moon was once thought impossible.

Neil Armstrong will go down in history as one of the greatest explorers. His long journey to the moon started, as each of us started, with a small kick in our mother’s womb,” said Burch. “Today, we salute the astronauts of Apollo 11 and all other brave pioneers who give meaning to the potential of every human life.”

Shameful Anti McCain ad airs on NBC/MSNBC-McCains health attacked

Hopefully the voters will punish this scurrility which has targeted both McCain and Palin. As usual the left wing of the Democratic Party which is part of the Obama attack machine disgraces itself. Of course Obama will not have requested such an ad but nevertheless he stands to benefit.

Devastating McCain Ad accuses Obama of passing over Hillary Clinton:Clinton is made to eat humble pie

This is arguably the most devastating ad from the McCain campaign so far. Hillary Clinton secured 18 million votes in the Democratic Party primaries. Yet Obama failed to consider her as a running mate. This is the greatest slap in the face for Clinton in the course of her political career. Obama is making her eat humble pie. In addition he has insulted the millions of women voters who supported Clinton.“She won millions of votes. But isn’t on his ticket. Why? For speaking the truth,” the narrator in the ad says. The ad then quotes Clinton criticizing Obama for being vague and “increasingly negative.”

Obama's amazing flip-flop on welfare reform

As a Marxist Obama is now pretending to move to the centre. This welfare ad is part of this process. As usual it is a mishmash of half truths.

In 1997 he opposed welfare reform.

This ad fails to spell out Obama’s real position on welfare reform. On August 22, 1996, President Clinton signed a welfare reform bill, officially titled the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996. The bill was hammered out as a compromise with the strong support of the Republican-controlled Congress.
Obama's ad is disingenuous. Obama resisted this welfare reform bill.
Senator Obama told the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper in 1996 that Mr. Clinton's stance on welfare was "disturbing".

Obama said on the floor of the Illinois state Senate on May 31, 1997:
"I am not a defender of the status quo with respect to welfare," "Having said that, I probably would not have supported the federal legislation, because I think it had some problems."
