Last Sunday the Sunday World carried a letter from a woman who suffering Post Abortion Syndrome. Here are a few brief excerpts:
"My story may help someone to be strong against the pressure and coercion that is heaped on a girl or woman who has a crisis pregnancy....I am one of the many women who has gone to England for an abortion....I am also one of the women who suffers from Post Abortion Syndrome - depression, low self esteem etc...."I recently found a website called "Rachel's Vineyard" and the founder of "Rachel's Vineyard" has a book written about the unresolved pain of abortion. "That book has been a God send. It even prompted me to go talk to a priest and ask for absolution for my sin. This has given me some peace in my heart. The priest was fabulous, elderly, and so unexpectedly understanding and forgiving. I came away that day lighter in my heart for the first time in nearly thirty years.
"Maybe there are girls out there who are one hundred per cent happy with their decision to have an abortion, but I am not one of them. Our voice (the ones who regret it) is not heard in the media."

Excommunicate NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo who has declared war on the unborn
Gov Cuomo declared in his Jan. 9 State of the State address that he wanted to enact a so-called "Reproductive Health Act" as part of a 10-point plan to advance "women's equality."(Fox News)
Pro-abortion fanatic Cuomo wishes to remove criminal penalties for third-trimester abortions after 24 weeks by adding a broad health exception. Current state law allows such late-term abortions if there is a danger to the mother’s life. Essentially Cuomo wants late-term abortion on demand. This is satanic. It is tantamount to offering human sacrifices to Lucifer.
It is likely that Catholic Charities and Catholic schools would be compelled to counsel and refer for abortion. All hospitals, even Catholic hospitals, would likely be compelled to allow abortions on premises. Under the Cuomo plan many thousands of perfectly formed unborn children would be slaughtered annually. Catholic hospitals and many state-funded ministries will be put out of business. "Maybe it's a man's world," Cuomo said. "But it's not a man's world in New York. Not anymore." No Mr Cuomo it's a baby killers world in New York-the abortion capital of America. 40 percent of pregnancies in New York end in abortion -- nearly twice the national rate. 60% of black children are aborted in NY. Now Cuomo wants to add to this horrific figure. You are no man Mr Cuomo. You wish to extend the satanic ritual of abortion in a cynical ploy to win votes. You wish to win reelection on the backs of the innocent unborn child in the womb.
Mr Cuomo go and view a sonogram? Look at the hands, feet and head of the baby. Look at the movement of the unborn child. You wish to promote the cold blooded killing of such an unborn child. You claim to be a Catholic.You are nothing of the sort. You have set your face against the Law of God. You have embraced evil.

Those Catholics who publicly announce their denial that abortion is always gravely immoral, or who publicly promote abortion, or who publicly argue in favor of legalized abortion, also commit a mortal sin and also incur a sentence of automatic excommunication.It is time for Cardinal Dolan to publicly excommunicate Mr Cuomo from the Catholic Church.
This sentence of excommunication applies to Catholics who are politicians, as well as to those Catholics who are political commentators, or public speakers, or who write or otherwise publicly communicate their erroneous view that abortion can be morally-acceptable or that abortion should be legal. This sentence of excommunication also certainly applies to those Catholics who claim to be theologians or Biblical scholars, but who believe or teach that abortion is not always gravely immoral.
Those Catholics who promote abortion are automatically excommunicated for two reasons. First, they have fallen into the sin of heresy by believing that abortion is not always gravely immoral (canons 751 and 1364). Second, these Catholics are providing substantial assistance for women to obtain abortions by influencing public policy to make abortions legal, and to keep abortions legal, and to broaden access to abortion. Those who provide such substantial assistance commit a mortal sin and incur a sentence of automatic excommunication (canon 1398)

Sarah Palin blasts Obama’s hypocrisy of wanting to save the lives of children but not the unborn

Forty years ago today the Supreme Court rendered its Roe v. Wade decision. Those who believe in the sanctity of human life and long to see America embrace a culture in which innocent life is honored and protected continue to look for a day when humanity is again deemed valuable, where we cherish even those who would be born in “less than ideal circumstances.” Children are our most precious resource and remain the greatest symbol of hope God has given us. This is just one reason why the annual March for Life has been such a powerful aspect of the pro-life movement. This year’s event is Friday, January 25th, and once again a multitude of Americans will gather in Washington, D.C. to show their support for precious little ones.
Our Founding Fathers declared: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” However, since 1973, millions of children have been denied the basic right upon which all the others hinge: the right to life.
Lately, President Obama has taken to boldly highlighting children in his speeches. Using kids as the backdrop for his gun control speech, the President claimed his commitment to young ones. “If there’s even one life that can be saved, then we’ve got an obligation to try,” he said. He then outlined why gutting our Second Amendment is the means by which he believes we accomplish this. Every law-abiding citizen’s heart is broken when children are the target of men hell-bent on committing acts of evil, and we agree that the safety and protection of innocent life is paramount.
The hypocrisy of it all, however, is that while the President publicly acknowledges the value of “even one life” when it advances his own political agenda, he fails to acknowledge as much when it comes to protecting the lives of children soon to be born. In that same speech, he proclaimed that “when it comes to protecting the most vulnerable among us, we must act now.” Well, who is more vulnerable than those who find themselves at the mercy of others to honor their existence and receive them into our world? Are these—the truly vulnerable—not worthy of the protection of which the President speaks? Why is it that their cause is never the subject of one of his lofty addresses to the nation? Has he ever even mentioned the March for Life that takes place in his own back yard and ought to be worthy of at least a scant mention? If indeed we have an obligation to save “even one life,” when will we hear our President rally Americans to stand alongside women who find themselves in these less than ideal circumstances to offer the support they need, to encourage parents to choose life, and to promote the option of adoption? Instead, he has committed himself to the most liberal of abortion agendas—so much so that as a Senator he couldn’t even bring himself to support the Born Alive Act that would save the lives of babies ALREADY BORN and needing medical aid. Further, he believes taxpayers should betray their consciences by paying for his abortion agenda. This same President has stated he didn’t want his daughters “punished with a baby,” and remarked that it was “above my pay grade” to answer a pastor’s question: “At what point does a baby get human rights?” Yet now we are to somehow believe that children are the priority in his current aggressive campaign against the Second Amendment?
The President continued to herald his support of children in yesterday’s inaugural speech. “Our journey is not complete until all our children, from the streets of Detroit, to the hills of Appalachia, to the quiet lanes of Newtown, know that they are cared for, and cherished, and always safe from harm,” he said—and I agree. Nor is our journey complete, I would add, until all our children soon to be born are also “cared for, and cherished, and always safe from harm.” The President, of course, did not include this, as it does not line up with his worldview or his party’s platform. See, his commitment to our children is selective. When children in the womb are on the chopping block, the President is silent. When he places the Second Amendment, however, on the chopping block, children are his focus. Never mind the fact that his latest proposals would not protect them from evildoers and would, in fact, leave responsible, law-abiding citizens less able to protect them as well.
Clearly, there is no shortage of hypocrisy coming out of Washington, and this is just one example. Americans can expect to be inundated with rhetoric and doublespeak for the duration of this administration. It is truly Orwellian. So it is absolutely imperative that we keep our eyes and ears open; don’t allow yourselves to be sucked in or lulled to sleep. Our freedoms are being compromised, our common sense insulted, and our children exploited. We must be vigilant and engaged, and we must remain hopeful that a better day is coming.

On RTE One John Bruton demolishes X-Case arguments on suicide
Former Taoiseach John Bruton speaking on RTE radio 1(Sunday) about government plans to legislate on the X-case demolished the argument for legalisation of abortion on the grounds of a suicide threat. Mr Bruton represents the views of the overwhelming majority of FG supporters on the ground. Are you listening Mr.Kenny? Are you listening Mr. Reilly? FG backbenchers wake up: Stop the liberal clique of Reilly, Fitzgerald and Shatter in their tracks. If Enda Kenny lacks the bottle to stand up to this clique and to the Labour Party REPLACE him as leader. You have the votes. Do not be bullied. You know the proposed legislation is wrong. This controversy is not going to go away even if the government rams through pro-abortion legislation. In fact it will dog the government for the rest of its term in office.

"...Well, a possibility is never equal to a certainty. All you can ever say about suicidal ideation is that there is a possibility that it might be fulfilled, whereas in the case of a termination you have the certainty of the ending of that other life . ... "...when you actually look at the words in the constitution which talk to an equal right to life ... I believe this is a fundamental human rights issue, the less visible the person is, the more their human rights ought to be vindicated."
Abortion is not a treatment for suicide. Under no circumstances should abortion be allowed on the suicide threat. Abortion is the final "solution". There is no comeback for the innocent unborn child. Lets assume that a woman is suicidal. She has an abortion on suicide grounds. What happens when depression lifts? She suddenly realises that she has no child. She will never forgive herself. It is also about time that the catastrophic mental and physical consequences of abortion for women are addressed.

Abortion: Bacik Self Destructs In ‘Hate Women’ Attack on Bishops
The final day of the Oireachtas hearings into the Government’s plan to have legislation and regulation to allow for abortion where a mother’s life is at risk saw an astonishing outburst by Labour Party Senator Ivana Bacik. She made an outrageous attack on the Bishops in relation to their stance on abortion. In her book you are misogynistic(hate women) if you are a single male who defends the right to life of the unborn.
Ms Bacik accused the Catholic Bishops of opposing the legislation on the basis of “misogyny towards women” (defined as as hatred of women by men) and a belief in the “innate deceitfulness of women”. “Can you say what business it is of a Church whose members are entirely and exclusively male and celibate to pronounce in such absolutist terms on such a critical issue in terms of reproductive rights for both women and girls?” she asked.(Irish Independent)
- Bacik never mentions the life of the unborn child in any discussion on abortion. It's as if the child does not exist where she is concerned. In this she is aided and abetted by the media which fails to challenge her on the right to life of the unborn child. At today's Oireachtas hearings she was true to form. She mouths platitudes about women's rights. She favours the intentional killing of the unborn child in the womb. Period. The unborn have no rights as far as she is concerned. Quite frankly her pronouncements on this issue are chilling. Her personalised attack today betrays the weakness of her arguments. It was in bad taste. She is intellectually arrogant and smug. She displays the intolerance typical of the Dublin 4 liberal. No doubt pro-lifers are rednecks as far as she is concerned. The problem for Bacik was that the Bishop Jones articulated clearly the Catholic position on abortion: Women who suffer from a serious physical illness are entitled to all treatment necessary to save their lives. Sometimes the child may unintentionally die in the course of this treatment. This is both pro-woman and pro-child. Today Bacik played the man and not the ball. She lost because of the shallowness of her arguments. Lucky for her the media has largely ignored the outburst. Now I wonder why? On second thoughts it is quite obvious why. Bacik blew up because her pro-abortion arguments were demolished today.
- Ms.Bacik has a problem with celibate men pronouncing on the abortion issue. One wonders has she the same problem with celibate men who are psychiatrists/psychologists who may be dealing with problems of married couples.
- Bacik as an atheist appears to detest Catholicism-indeed all religion.
- Bacik wishes to eradicate religion from the Irish school system.
In school, you teach; in church, you preach.’ You shouldn’t mix the two. In Ireland and in other countries, there has been too much preaching in schools for far too long.
Now if only atheists like Bacik could eradicate all religion from the Irish school system the way would be clear for the indoctrination of students with atheist junk. A climate of opinion favourable to a liberal abortion regime could be created. Today's scurrilous attack was aimed at depowering the bishops. With the bishops neutralised or weakened it is much easier to plot the way forward on the road to unrestricted abortion. Who in the Irish media will challenge Bacik's outrageous behaviour?

Ireland -Abortion: Simon Mills proposals deeply flawed
Doctor Simon Mills has provided the Oireachtas Health Committee with a draft version of a pregnancy bill which would retain the criminal ban on abortion - but provide for legal abortions in some cases. These include threat of suicide, inevitable miscarriage, non viable pregnancies and cases of lethal foetal abnormality. Simon Mills claims that his Termination of Pregnancy Bill would not provide for legal abortion in cases of rape or incest.
The reality is that his draft is deeply flawed. The Irish media has failed to ask him the hard questions. His proposal to allow abortion on the grounds of a suicide threat amounts to a deliberate attack on the unborn child in the womb. Any such procedure is murder- whether Dr Mills agrees or not. It breaks the Fifth Commandment. It is not for us to decide to end a non viable pregnancy either-contrary to what Dr Mills thinks. It is not for us to play God. Any deliberate termination of a pregnancy viable or non viable is murder. Now Dr Mills needs to go back to the drawing board. Let there be no beating about the bush. There is no moderate position or middle ground on abortion contrary to what Dr Mills postulates. One either favours the protection of unborn children in the womb or one favours the deliberate killing of the unborn. Now it is important to stress that women are entitled to all treatment necessary to save their lives when suffering from life threatening physical illness. The unborn child may unintentionally suffer death in the course of such treatment. This is not abortion.
When is the Irish media going to pose the hard questions on abortion to people such as Dr Mills? Dr Mills needs to realise that the X-Case Judgement was deeply flawed. He would do well to listen to the advice of former British MP David Steel (The Lord Steel of Aikwood) who was responsible for introducing, as a Private Member's Bill, the Abortion Act 1967. He has warned against a suicide clause. He said "I think it would be a mistake to try and legislate for abortion in categories such as suicide or rape. I never envisaged there would so many abortions." Yet Dr Mills ignores such warnings. Let's be blunt: Dr Mills proposals are a charter for a liberal abortion regime. Period.

Elena Artioli: Tell us about your life and how you faced difficulties.
My story began at the age of 16, when, due to recurring vision problems, I found out that I had a cerebral arteriovenous malformation (angioma) in the rear left frontal region, 3 centimeters in dimension. From that moment, my life completely changed. I was living in fear, in anguish, in the unknowing, in sadness and in daily anxiety…of that which could happen at any moment.
I went searching for “someone”…that someone who could give me explanations, help, hope. With my parents’ support and having them close by, I went throughout Italy searching for that person who could give me the confidence and the answers that I needed. After several big disappointments by doctors who treated me as an object instead of as a person, without the any regard as to the most important thing, that is, the person’s feelings, the “human side,” I then received a gift from heaven, my Guardian Angel: Edoardo Boccardi, chief neurologist of the neuroradiology department of Milan’s Niguarda Hospital.
In addition to being close to me with extreme professionalism and experience, from a medical standpoint, through exams and check-ups repeated in time, for me, this person was able to always give me that faith, those answers and that hope that I was searching for…so big and so important that I was able to trust him totally…however things went, I knew that I had a special and knowledgeable person at my side. He told me that at that time he would had neither performed surgery nor carry out any type of therapy because it was an area too large and too thin to treat with radiosurgery. I could carry on with my life with as calmly as possible, however, I had to avoid any activities that could provoke an increase in cerebral pressure; the risks I could be exposed to were a cerebral hemorrhage due to blood vessels rupturing or a growth in the vascular nidus that could result in pain in the surrounding cerebral tissue.
I am a physical therapist and I work daily with people with disabilities that came as the result of situations like mine…let’s say that it is not always easy to have the strength and the will to react, without giving up. In spite of all of my strength, my will and my huge desire to become a good physical therapist, I had to overcome an extremely difficult path graduating from university, trying to pass exams like neurosurgery and tumors,…that “spoke” in a certain way about me and my situation.
Thank God, the results of my MRIs, consistently taken each year in Milan, showed no significant differences over time. The next to last MRI dated back to 5 years ago, 21 April 2007, to be exact. Since then I have always put off further testing out of fear of discovering that something changed over the years.

In life, you go through moments of pain, of discomfort, of anger, due to various situations, which could be the end of an important love story, job difficulties, family problems, and you certainly don’t want to add another thought in that moment. In a period of my life where my heart had gone through a lot of suffering, I allowed a dear friend, as well as co-worker, to persuade me to go on pilgrimage to Medjugorje, referred by her as a destination of great peace and internal serenity, which is what I needed at that moment. And so, with a lot of curiosity and a little bit of skepticism, I left on 2 August 2011 with my mother for Medjugorje’s Mladifest (Youth Festival). I lived 4 days of intense emotions; I came very close to the faith and to prayer (if before praying the “Hail Mary” was tough, I now feel the need to and joy in it). The ascents of the two mounts, especially on the Krizevac (the mount of the white cross) where I teared up by surprise following a prayer, are places of profound peace, joy, and inner serenity; precisely those sensations that my friend continuously refers to, and to which I struggled to believe.
It was as if something “entered” inside you that you were not asking for. I prayed a lot but I was unable to ask for anything because I always thought that there were people that had precedence and priority compared to me…and compared to my problems. I returned home, profoundly changed in my spirit, with joy in my eyes and serenity in my heart. I was able to deal with daily problems with a different spirit and energy. I felt the necessity to tell the world how I felt and what I saw. Prayer became a daily necessity: it makes me feel better. As time passed, I gained the awareness of having received my first great Grace. I found the courage and decided, after 5 years, to book my usual test in Milan, set for 16 April 2012.
Beforehand, however, it was important for me to go to confession to an exorcist priest, Father Francesco Bazzoffi who for me was a man of great qualities and values, who I feel very very close to. I went to him a few days before the test, Saturday, 14 April 2012 to be exact. After my confession, with my conspicuous worries about the tests coming up the following Monday, he decided to give me a personal blessing for my health problems with the laying on of the hands. He said, “Well, it’s not even that big…” It amazed me and made me think (I knew it to be 3 centimeters in size) and he continued, saying, “What is it? About 1 centimeter?!!!!” Before leaving the room, he said, “Elena, when will you come back to visit me?...In May???!!!...That way you can tell me how it went!” Very confused and surprised, I answered that I would come back in May.
That Monday, I went to Milan with my parents who never leave me by myself during check-ups in which I live an emotionally intense day. After the MRI, I went for the exam with my doctor. Comparing the last study with that from 5 years earlier, there was a sharp reduction in the size of the vascular nidus and an overall reduction in the caliber of venous drainage, with proximal parenchymal pain. I instinctively turned my glance towards my mother, and it was as if we had met at the same time and same point. We both felt the same things with tears in our eyes. We did not have any doubt in the least that I had received a second Grace.
The meeting with the doctor, still in disbelief, showed that: - the size of the vascular nidus was about 1 centimeter (which connects back to what the priest’s conversation); - that it is practically impossible that an AVM spontaneously shrink, without any type of treatment (my doctor says that I am his first case of this, in all of his vast professional experience, even overseas). It usually either grows or remains the same size.
Comparison of the examsEvery doctor, like every person of “science,” has to have an appropriate treatment that produces a certain result. I could certainly not be part of this. In that moment which was so magical for me, I only wanted to run and to cry, without giving any kind of explanation to anyone. I was living something too big, too emotional, too much and that I could only dream of. In the car on the way home, I praised heaven and I asked her, “why all of this…for me,” I never actually had the courage to ask for anything. It was all given to me. Physical healing is without a doubt something visible, tangible and truly a great thing, but I recognize more so interior spiritual healing the path of conversion, the serenity and the strength that I now have; it is priceless and it is beyond compare.
Only today can I assert that with joy and serenity, that anything that could happen to me in the future, I will take on with a different spirit, with more tranquility and courage and with less fear, because I WILL NOT FEEL ALONE and that which has been given to me is something that is truly GRAND. I am living my life more deeply; every single day is a gift. This year I went back to Medjugorje to the Youth Festival, to GIVE THANKS. I am certain that, the day of the tests, Mary was inside of me and different people took notice, telling me so. US: The Tea Party must demolish Presidential and Congressional Crazeonomics
The Fiscal-Cliff Deal is a fudge. It fails to address the US debt problem. It is an dereliction of duty by spineless politicians. Quite frankly it is time for the American public to wake up. The country is floating on a sea of printed and borrowed money. Never was it more essential to have a powerful Tea Party movement to act as a counterbalance to liberal media organs such as The New York Times, MSNBC et al and to fiscally irresponsible politicians of both political parties.
Now let's first define Crazeonomics. It is a policy marked by an explosion in public expenditure funded by massive borrowing and printing. It is characterised by mushrooming waste and pork barrel spending. Politicians buy voters. A sizeable body of voters will collude with the reckless politicians and allow themslves to be bought with goodies.
The game is almost up. America trundles rapidly towards bankruptcy. An economically inept President and a dysfunctional Congress lack the guts to take the hard decisions to restore solvency. Massive cuts in spending are required. America is living on borrowed money. The ratings agencies are about to downgrade America's credit rating. This will result in higher interest rates. America is only capable of servicing debt repayments because of low interest rates UP TO NOW. Once interest rates rise the debt will become unsustainable. Now of course the Feds may engage in further printing splurges eventually rendering the dollar almost worthless. The enemies of America need only wait. It is about to destroy itself. Sadly it has failed to learn from the Greek experience.
In the last four years the National Debt has risen from 11 Trillion dollars to 16.436 Trillion dollars now. This is economic lunacy. The Tea Party advocates a balanced budget and public expenditure cuts. It is correct in its analysis. The current borrowing orgy cannot continue.The Tea Party people are painted as extremists. Since when is it extreme to want to live within your means? Since when is it extreme to want a BALANCED BUDGET? Wake up America. It is now time for sound finance and an end to pork barrel spending. America cannot award itself a standard of living which it cannot afford. Many American politicians have caught the European disease. They buy the voters with borrowed money and their own (the voters) money. These politicians must be voted out- irrespective of party.
It is time for the Tea Party to roll up its sleeves and set about the task of ensuring the election of Congressmen and women who will tackle the national debt and pork barrel spending and waste. The political cowards are a far greater threat to US greatness than Al Qaeda. They are bartering away economic sovereignty. The country is being destroyed from WITHIN by many of its politicians.
