Catholics who voted for Obama must confess before receiving Holy Communion-Father Jay Newman

Father Jay Scott Newman a priest at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greenville, SC, has urged parishioners who voted for Barack Obama not to present themselves for Holy Communion unless they go to confession first and repent ."Voting for a pro-abortion politician when a plausible pro-life alternative exists constitutes material cooperation with intrinsic evil, and those Catholics who do so place themselves outside of the full communion of Christ’s Church and under the judgment of divine law. Here Father Newman is outlining the orthodox Catholic position on abortion.

Father Newman outlined the basis for his conclusions in the following letter on the parish web site

Dear Friends in Christ,
"We the People have spoken, and the 44th President of the United States will be Barack Hussein Obama. This election ends a political process that started two years ago and which has revealed deep and bitter divisions within the United States and also within the Catholic Church in the United States. This division is sometimes called a “Culture War,” by which is meant a heated clash between two radically different and incompatible conceptions of how we should order our common life together, the public life that constitutes civil society. And the chief battleground in this culture war for the past 30 years has been abortion, which one side regards as a murderous abomination that cries out to Heaven for vengeance and the other side regards as a fundamental human right that must be protected in laws enforced by the authority of the state. Between these two visions of the use of lethal violence against the unborn there can be no negotiation or conciliation, and now our nation has chosen for its chief executive the most radical pro-abortion politician ever to serve in the United States Senate or to run for president. We must also take note of the fact that this election was effectively decided by the votes of self-described (but not practicing) Catholics, the majority of whom cast their ballots for President-elect Obama.

In response to this, I am obliged by my duty as your shepherd to make two observations:
1. Voting for a pro-abortion politician when a plausible pro-life alternative exists constitutes material cooperation with intrinsic evil, and those Catholics who do so place themselves outside of the full communion of Christ’s Church and under the judgment of divine law. Persons in this condition should not receive Holy Communion until and unless they are reconciled to God in the Sacrament of Penance, lest they eat and drink their own condemnation.
2. Barack Obama, although we must always and everywhere disagree with him over abortion, has been duly elected the next President of the United States, and after he takes the Oath of Office next January 20th, he will hold legitimate authority in this nation. For this reason, we are obliged by Scriptural precept to pray for him and to cooperate with him whenever conscience does not bind us otherwise. Let us hope and pray that the responsibilities of the presidency and the grace of God will awaken in the conscience of this extraordinarily gifted man an awareness that the unholy slaughter of children in this nation is the greatest threat to the peace and security of the United States and constitutes a clear and present danger to the common good. In the time of President Obama’s service to our country, let us pray for him in the words of a prayer found in the Roman Missal:

God our Father, all earthly powers must serve you. Help our President-elect, Barack Obama, to fulfill his responsibilities worthily and well. By honoring and striving to please you at all times, may he secure peace and freedom for the people entrusted to him. We ask this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. "

John McCain’s Strong Pro Adoption Stance

In 1993, John McCain and his wife, Cindy, adopted a little girl from Mother Teresa's orphanage in Bangladesh. This child was dying from a number of health complications.
That child is their teenage daughter Bridget.
However they also brought back another little girl as well. She was adopted by one of McCain's aides Wes Gullett.
The McCains have never trumpeted their sacrifices.

As President, John McCain has promised “to seek ways to promote adoption as a first option for women struggling with a crisis pregnancy. In the past, he cosponsored legislation to prohibit discrimination against families with adopted children, to provide adoption education, and to permit tax deductions for qualified adoption expenses, as well as to remove barriers to interracial and inter-ethnic adoptions”.

Barack Obama on the other hand is even more pro-abortion than Bill Clinton. When he was in the state legislature, Obama voted against the Illinois version of the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act and spoke out against it. This would prevent the killing of infants mistakenly left alive by abortion. He helped to scuttle the measure.
With Obama no longer in the state Senate, the Born Alive legislation passed in 2005.

Recently he stated that he would not want his daughters to be "punished with a baby" because of a crisis pregnancy. As far as Obama is concerned the innocent unborn child in the womb has no rights. God does not enter into the equation.

Spineless and Gutless Clinton and Obama support partial birth abortion-It is time for Christian voters to express their abhorrence

In this particular interview Clinton squirms on the abortion issue. She attempts to sanitise her pro-abortion stance. She favours the culture of death over the culture of life. Obama behaves in a similar manner. Both profess to be Christian yet the fifth commandment merits not a mention. God is ignored. Both candidates have a record of shame on the issue. Both are weak-kneed politicians lacking the moral fibre to stand for the truth. Catholics or other Christians who vote for Clinton or Obama are complicit in the destruction of the unborn child in the womb. As such they commit a grave sin.

• In 2002, as an Illinois legislator, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies that survived late-term abortions.

Hopefully Christian voters will stand by their faith. The law of God takes precedence over individual "rights".

Iowa-$500k support from Pro Abortion group EMILY's List for Hillary Clinton

Certainly the genie is out of the bottle in relation to the abortion issue.
Pro abortion group Emily's List is pulling out all the stops to ensure that Hillary Clinton wins the Iowan Democratic caucus. Emily's List’s Political Opportunity Program (POP) helps pro-abortion Democratic women run for state and local office. It also actively recruits and encourages pro-abortion Democratic women to run for election.

This group which backs pro-abortion Democratic women who support partial-birth abortions conducted a web survey in Iowa in October 2007. The purpose of this survey was to ascertain the the level of interest among Democratic women in the caucus process. It found that only 30 percent of those polled were absolutely certain they would participate whilst another 20 percent were highly likely to attend. Emily's List is determined to ensure a very high turn out of pro abortion women to support Clinton. It has a website offering Iowan women of all ages key information on the caucuses. It is estimated that the organization is targeting 60,000 women with direct mail, emails, and phone-banking in the days leading up to the caucus vote.

This group is spending $500,000 in support of Hillary Clinton in Iowa. How can the hypocritical Clinton reconcile her Christianity with support for the destruction of the unborn child in the womb. The Democratic party is the pro abortion party.
