US: No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act-How They Voted in the House (May 4, 2011)

The House has just passed the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act (H.R. 3). It passed by a large margin – 251 to 175. Every Republican member supported the legislation and Democrats opposed it by a 175- 16 margin.
This historic pro-life legislation establishes a permanent, government-wide ban on taxpayer funding for abortion, bans federal subsidies for health plans that include abortion, and strengthens conscience protections for health care workers. The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act now moves to the Senate.

No country should ever fund abortions with or without taxpayer funds and that includes the US. Should the mother be raped or in danger of dying someone needs to make a decision. Perhaps an objective, caring medical team, but not me.
