O God our Creator,

Through the power and working of your Holy Spirit,
you call us to live out our faith in the midst of the world,
bringing the light and the saving truth of the Gospel
to every corner of society.

We ask you to bless us
in our vigilance for the gift of religious liberty.
Give us the strength of mind and heart
to readily defend our freedoms when they are threatened;
give us courage in making our voices heard
on behalf of the rights of your Church
and the freedom of conscience of all people of faith.

Grant, we pray, O heavenly Father,
a clear and united voice to all your sons and daughters
gathered in your Church
in this decisive hour in the history of our nation,
so that, with every trial withstood
and every danger overcome—
for the sake of our children, our grandchildren,
and all who come after us—
this great land will always be "one nation, under God,
indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Join thousands of others in Belfast on Saturday, 7 July 2012 for the All Ireland Rally for Life. Starting from Custom House Square at 2pm. The All Ireland Rally for Life is organised by Youth Defence, Precious Life, Life Institute and others and takes place alternatively in Dublin and Belfast. Belfast hosted the Rally in 2008 and 2010. Live Action Video:Sex-selective abortion in North Carolina.

Live Action undercover video released today again catches Planned Parenthood contradicting its public statements claiming opposition to sex-selective abortion -- this time, in North Carolina.

The film actually depicts two abortion facilities: the National Abortion Federation (NAF) affiliated “Women’s Choice of Raleigh,” along with Planned Parenthood’s Chapel Hill location. Both willingly and without any discernible hesitation schedule late-term, sex-selective abortions of baby girls -- just because the woman brazenly claims she is "unlucky" to be pregnant with a daughter, not a son.

The NAMA Wine Lake Blog Attack on the negotiation stance of Michael Noonan and Enda Kenny is bookish exercise which fails to address the realities of the current euro crisis. It makes no reasonable effort to look at the full Euro/ World context.

Interesting how so many Irish people are deluded about concessions won by Greece. Greece's partial default is a catastrophe. The minimum wage has been cut to €2.20 per hour. Pensions have been savagely cut. by 30%/40%. There have been massive hikes in direct and indirect taxation and charges for government services. 150000 public service workers will be fired. Greece is as dead as a dodo. It is kaput. Ireland would like a debt write down like Greece. But are we prepared for the for the massive cuts that will likely be a condition of any such write down in the future.

It is easy to criticize the negotiating stance of the government. Conditions in Europe are deteriorating and changing at such an alarming rate that there is a grave danger that the Euro crisis will pull down the world financial system. Greece is BANKRUPT. Spain is BANKRUPT in all but name. Portugal is BANKRUPT. Italy is next in line. The game is almost over. Even the UK has major problems.

Be warned: burning the bondholders is no panacea. It will raise borrowing rates for the peripheral economies-once bitten twice shy. PART of the pressure on bonds has come from the Greek partial default. There is NO silver bullet. There is a less than 50 50 chance that a Euro collapse will be averted. The Euro system is so weak that default by another country besides Greece AT PRESENT would likely be the coup de grace. AT PRESENT an Irish or Portuguese threat of default would likely be sufficient to topple the euro such is the hysteria it would engender in the markets. Opinion is Germany is hardening against the profligacy of the peripheral economies. That’s the reality. German elections are due in 2013. Merkel is now gearing up to face her own electorate.

If France decides to jettison austerity the bond markets will turn on the country.

Its time we faced up to the DEBT CRISIS. European countries in many cases are living way beyond their means. It can't continue. The game is up. AT THIS TIME it is best to keep our powder dry until we see how the crisis unfolds. It is certainly not a time for major bondholder burning by Ireland ( much as I wish it should happen). Nobody can with certainly foretell the likely consequences.. Now lets cross the Atlantic. Obama lectures Europe about its debt problems. Obama is on track to borrow $6.2Trillion One Term—More Than All Presidents from Washington through Clinton Combined. The US national debt is $15.78 Trillion. The US is approaching bankruptcy. It is borrowing cheaply- but for how long more. China has already warned the US. The US has a dysfunctional system of government which has failed to take the hard decisions to address the debt problem. The US government is borrowing 42 cents in every 100 cents it is borrowing. The West is swimming on a sea of debt.

If by chance the Euro crisis is sorted the markets will then target the dollar which is on borrowed time. It’s time to face reality. Ireland can do very little AT THIS TIME. The negotiating stance of Noonan and Kenny is correct.

Obama: The Most Pro-Abortion Anti-Christian Big Spending President of all time

Barack Obama is the most liberal pro-abortion President of all time. The secular humanist philosophy underpinning many of the key decisions taken by the president are the antithesis of Christianity. The Creator is removed from the equation. Once God is removed every possible abomination appears rational and acceptable to a society that has lost its moral compass. The moral boundaries are pushed out further and further as society heads towards its inevitable destruction. How could Obama with any credibility criticize China's forced abortion policy?

Is he not the man who as Illinois Senator, voted AGAINST a bill designed to prevent partial-birth abortions? Is he not the man who staunchly supports Planned Parenthood in its extermination of the unborn?

Is he not the man who has failed to condemn sex selection abortion (gendercide) exposed by Live Action?

Margaret Sanger founder of Planned Parenhood was a eugenicist. She was a dues-paying member of the American Eugenic Society (AES)through the 1960s. She wrote, "Possibly drastic and Spartan methods may be forced upon society if it continues complacently to encourage the chance and chaotic breeding that has resulted from our stupidly cruel sentimentalism." Yet Obama lauds this Satanic Organization whilst claiming to be a Christian.

Not content with supporting the mass slaughter of the unborn in the US and Third World Obama has now attacked religious freedom in a cynical effort to galvanize the pro-abortion lobby behind his campaign. Obama announced that he is violating the first amendment right of freedom of religion. He told Catholics that they will have to violate their conscience by FORCING them to add birth control, the morning after pill, and sterilization to their healthcare coverage or else....

Abortion is a mortal sin and brings an automatic excommunication upon those who procure it, perform it, or cooperate in it. Any Catholic who in any way aids the provision of abortion facilities is automatically excommunicated. Catholic politicians who vote for pro-abortion legislation are automatically excommunicated.

Catholics are duty bound in conscience not to vote for Obama who is the most radical pro-abortion President of all time. The RIGHT TO LIFE trumps all. It is time to drop the whataboutery engaged in my many American Catholics. To vote for Obama is to further aid the abortion industry in its genocidal war against the unborn. Below I produce a summary of Obama's appalling pro-abortion record. What has become of America?

• As an Illinois Senator, in 1997, Obama voted in the Illinois Senate against SB 230, a bill designed to prevent partial-birth abortions.
• He voted AGAINST requiring parental consent for minors who seek an abortion.
• He is so Pro-Abortion that the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) gave him a 100% score on his pro-choice voting record as a senator in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
• No sooner was he elected President than he overturned the Mexico City Policy. that prohibited funding to international family planning groups that provide abortions. President Bush was a staunch supporter of the Mexico City Policy. Under the "Mexico City Policy," the U.S. government could not provide funding for family planning services to clinics or groups that offered abortion-related services overseas. Obama is now pursuing an aggressive pro abortion policy in the Third World.
• He has consistently refused to support legislation that would define an infant who survives a late-term induced-labor abortion as a human being with the right to live. He insists that no restriction must ever be placed on the right of a mother to decide to abort her child, regardless of whether the CHILD has SURVIVED the initial attempt and is therefore outside of the womb and STILL BREATHING!
• He openly supports and is endorsed by Planned Parenthood; the organization that kills 332,000 unborn babies annually.Planned Parenthood endorsed Obama in May with an $1.4 million ad buy.
• He ensures that PP receives almost $400 million in government (taxpayer-funded) grants a year.
• On the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade he stated this was a chance to recognize the “fundamental constitutional right” to abortion and to “continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.”
• In reference to his own daughters and abortion he stated “But if they made a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby.

It is time to stand for LIFE and vote this anti-Christian pro-abortion extremist out of office. On ECONOMIC grounds he should be voted out before he bankrupts the country. President Barack Obama has been increasing the national debt during his presidency by an average of $4.24 billion per day ($4,240,506,004.34) putting him on a pace to increase the national debt by $6.2 trillion ($6,195,379,272,340.74) by the end of his term on Jan. 20, 2013, according to the debt figures published by the U.S. Treasury. So Obama is on track to borrow $6.2T in One Term—More Than All Presidents from Washington Through Clinton Combined.

Medjugorje: 20 Year Old Meabh Carlin- My eyes are fully open to God

As the 31st Anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions is getting closer, we meet pilgrims from all over the world in Medjugorje. We had chance to talk to 20 –years-old girl from Ireland who is in wheelchair. “I would like to thank for the opportunity to be in Medjugorje. My group leader told me that she had a cancellation last week and she invited me to come instead of that person. It is my blessing to be here, one really feels joy here. I hope to bring peace and hope from this place to my home, to those that I know”, said Maebh who shared her story with us, story full of crosses and lots of suffering, but on the other hand, story full of peace and joy.

Last year she decided to go with a group of her friends to help poor and elderly people in Lisbon. It was to be their pilgrimage. During their pilgrimage, World Youth Day in Madrid was held and they decided to go to Madrid to be there with Holy Father. On the third day of their visit to Madrid, as they were crossing the road, Maebh was at the front and she was hit by a car. “They were all helping me; I felt God’s presence through all those people. I spent two months in bed and I was not able to move at all. My eyes were completely opened to God. In the beginning I was strong, because I thought about the time when I would be able to dance again, to get back to ballet, things that I did before. Then, doctors told me that I would never dance again. I broke after that news and I did not speak for 4 days. I started writing and I felt Holy Spirit’s presence within me. I wrote more than 200 pages of mediations and blessings that I received through my condition. I realised that crosses that we received give us strength to do even those hardest things. I started to receive strength from prayer. Even though they told me that I would never walk again, I believed that I would be able to dance, of course, if that is God’s will. It has been nine months since the accident took place and I am starting to learn how to walk again. I feel that every step I make is a step closer to God. I know that this is not an accident but God’s plan”, said Maebh, who with her sister started a prayer group that now has more than 80 members as well as music ministry that involves more than 30 members.
