Cardinal Stafford hammers Obama on Abortion- Obama aggressive, disruptive, extremist and apocalyptic

Commenting on the results of the recent presidential election, Cardinal Stafford said on Election Day “America suffered a cultural earthquake.”

The cardinal argued that President-elect Obama had campaigned on an “extremist anti-life platform” and predicted that the near future would be a time of trial...“For the next few years, Gethsemane will not be marginal. We will know that garden,” Cardinal Stafford told his audience. Catholics who weep the “hot, angry tears of betrayal” should try to identify with Jesus, who during his agony in the garden was “sick because of love.”

Democrat Congressman Steve Cohen compares Sarah Palin to Pontius Pilate

The Democratic Party smear merchants have now gone into overdrive in an effort to destroy Sarah Palin. Comments by Tennessee Democrat Congressman Steve Cohen-a strong supporter of Barack Obama- comparing Sarah Palin to Pontius Pilate are quite simply inappropriate. Cohen stated that"Obama was a community organizer like Jesus ... Pontius Pilate was a governor". Pilate was the man who agreed to condemn Jesus to crucifixion. Comparing Obama to Jesus is nonsensical. Obama supports partial birth abortion. This is at odds with the teaching of Jesus.The selection of Sarah Palin as John McCain's running mate gives women a voice. Obama could have chosen a female running mate. He failed to do so. There is an element of sour grapes in many Democratic Party statements in relation to Sarah Palin. Today also South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler attacked Sarah Palin stating that John McCain had chosen a running mate " whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.” The ugly Democrat campaign to demean Palin continues unabated.
