Obama Healthcare Bill Myths Dispelled
FACT: The abortion mandate is very real. The absence of the word abortion is very reason why the proposed legislation will mandate abortion on virtually every American health care plan. For example, look no further than the federal Medicaid statute which does not mention the word abortion, yet Medicaid funded as many as 300,000 abortions per year prior to enactment of the Hyde amendment.
MYTH #2:The Obama administration doesn’t want to change the status quo with regard to abortion. They will not allow an abortion mandate.
FACT: The President himself said that reproductive care is at the heart of his health care plan.1 And Hilary Clinton has confirmed that the administration considers abortion to be part of reproductive health. More recently Office of Budget and Management Chief Peter Orszag told "FOX News Sunday" on July 19, 2009 that it is not "prepared to rule [taxpayer funded abortion] out" of the healthcare legislation.2
MYTH #3: The courts can’t mandate abortion coverage if abortion isn’t even written into the health bill.
FACT: In the mid-1990s the Hyde amendment was adjusted to no longer ban Medicaid abortion funding in cases of rape and incest abortion. Even though the Medicaid statute didn’t refer directly to abortion,
they reverted to the assumed mandate that abortion would be covered. States that tried to refuse to pay for rape and incest abortions, were overruled by courts that said because abortion falls under broad categories of care in the Medicaid statute, states must fund abortion even if it violates their individual state law.
MYTH #4: The so-called "Hyde Amendment" restricts federal funds from paying for abortions through Medicaid and applies in the healthcare bill.
FACT:Actually the health care overhaul bypasses the Hyde amendment. But even if it didn’t, we cannot be fooled by this pro-abortion “two-step.” If the Hyde amendment did apply it would still be subject to annual re-approval. Significant portions of the proposed legislation are not subject to the Hyde amendment.
MYTH #5: Proposed legislation maintains the status quo, but pro-life amendments go further than current law.
FACT: Permanent abortion funding bans are contained in other health care laws including Department of Defense health care coverage and the Children’s Health Insurance Plan. If Representatives and Senators oppose taxpayer funding for abortion or plans that cover abortion,it only follows that such an explicit provision must be contained in the healthcare bill.

US- Stop The Abortion Mandate: Campaign Details
Prevent Washington D.C. Bureaucrats and Abortion Industry Lobbyists from Forcing YOU to Pay for Abortions
What’s at stake right now:
• The current health care reform proposals, if enacted, would result in the biggestexpansion of abortion since the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision imposed
abortion on America in 1973
• Washington D.C. bureaucrats and abortion industry lobbyists are trying to force
YOU to pay for abortions through your tax dollars as part of their proposed trilliondollar
healthcare takeover – even though recent polls show that 71% of Americans
oppose taxpayer-funded abortion
• This political power-grab is an effort to implement one of the cornerstones of the
"Freedom of Choice Act" (FOCA), and could lead to a massive taxpayersubsidized
abortion industry bailout – something that American families do not
support and cannot afford in these tough economic times
• Under the proposed healthcare takeover, virtually every American would be forced
into a health plan that mandates abortion coverage; if the healthcare reform law
does not clearly state that abortion is excluded, abortion automatically becomes a
minimum required benefit
• Elected officials must include language to explicitly exclude abortion from any
healthcare reform proposal or bill – keep abortion out of healthcare!
What YOU can do about it:
1. Pray
2. E-mail and write letters to your Representative and two Senators at:
http://www.StopTheAbortionMandate.com/email
3. Call the Washington office and the local office of your Representative and two

Video: Obama Care May Fund Abortions
... the New Jersey Congressman Chris Smith said, Obama is offering a plan for health care reform that is a thinly veiled attempt to increase access to abortion on demand. The plan would increase funding for abortions and allow abortion services to be considered part of “basic health care” required by all insurance plans, including private plans.
Smith pointed to information from the Guttmacher Institute, which has stated that “when taxpayer funding is not available, between 20 and 35 percent of Medicaid abortions that would have been procured simply don't occur...” CNA
Obama is the most radical pro abortion president ever elected. He deliberately misled Pope Benedict XVI at their July 10 meeting when he said that he “wants to reduce abortion". He has no regard for the Law of God. Under this measure American taxpayers will pay for abortions. In short they will fund murder. Americans would do well to learn from the lessons of history. Infanticide was a major contributory factor to the decline of the Roman Empire. Congressmen who vote for this measure fly in the face of God and are on the side of Satan.
It is time to torpedo this Satanic measure. Are there any Democrat Congressmen with the required backbone who are prepared to put God before party?

Pro Life Video with clips of astronaut Neil Armstrong on the moon
Astronauts Help Launch New Pro Life Ad
Dr. Kerwin calls ad ‘great tribute’ to 40th anniversary of Apollo 11Joshua Mercer at CatholicVote.org
HOUSTON – Dr. Joseph Kerwin, the first American doctor in outer space, joined other former NASA greats today at a press conference in Houston to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11’s historic landing on the moon with a new ad by CatholicVote.org.
“For thousands of years, man has looked at the moon and the stars in awe. But forty years ago, we did the unthinkable: We landed on the moon. This new ad by CatholicVote.org captures the spirit of this historic mission by highlighting the potential of human life,” said Dr. Kerwin.
Gene Krantz, best known as the flight director at mission control manager during Apollo 13, was also on hand to premiere the ad.
Brian Burch, President of CatholicVote.org, said that putting a man on the moon was once thought impossible.
“Neil Armstrong will go down in history as one of the greatest explorers. His long journey to the moon started, as each of us started, with a small kick in our mother’s womb,” said Burch. “Today, we salute the astronauts of Apollo 11 and all other brave pioneers who give meaning to the potential of every human life.”
The new CatholicVote.org ad can be viewed at http://www.catholicvote.org/ and at www.youtube.com/catholicvote.

Video:Rep. Michele Bachmann speech in Congress against taxpayer funding for abortion in DC
It is already a great tragedy that the District of Columbia has the highest abortion rate in the country. What's even worse is forcing pro-life taxpayers to foot the bill for over 7,200 abortions a year in D.C.
Congresswomen like Jean Schmidt (R-OH), Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Kathy Dahlkemper (D-PA), Virginia Foxx (R-NC) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) are leading the fight in Congress against taxpayer-funded abortions in D.C.

Republican Criticism of Sotomayor is justified on the basis of her ill-judged comments and likely policy positions
In a California speech in 2001 she stated that, on a court, "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."
On the basis of these statements she has been labeled a “reverse racist" by Gingrich and Limbaugh. It was Sotomayor who introduced racism into the political mix. Any opposition worthy of the name is duty bound to grill her on these comments. Failure to do so would be a dereliction of duty.
However critics must ensure that criticisms cannot be misconstrued as a ethnic attack. Democrats and their friends in the liberal media will of course seek to misrepresent the facts and paint the GOP as anti Hispanic. It is the duty of an opposition to ask the hard questions.
There are risks for conservative Democrats who fail to challenge Sotomayor on her comments. Support for an activist judge could be very costly in electoral terms.
It is highly likely that Sotomayor will adopt a liberal position on abortion. Obama would not have chosen a judge who is pro life. A pro abortion position is at odds with the views of the majority of Hispanics. Here Republicans will be operating on fertile political territory and will be at one with most Hispanics. Republicans with a modicum of common sense can outwit Obama on this issue.

Video: Thin Skinned Obama blasts Bush at Naval Academy Graduation and fails to take responsibility for his own decisions or lack of them
Sometimes it appears that Obama is still fighting the presidential election campaign of 2008. He loses no opportunity to snipe at the previous Bush administration. He seems to forget that he is already in power for five months. It is now time for him to take responsibility for decisions which he makes. Obama's spending plans will triple the national debt which he inherited from Bush. Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress have avoided the hard decisions on public expenditure.
His speech at the Naval Academy Graduation in Annapolis contains the following:
"When America strays from our values, it not only undermines the rule of law, it alienates us from our allies, it energizes our adversaries and it endangers our national security and the lives of our troops."Here Obama is hammering his predecessor as usual. Perhaps he might care to define what he means by values. He has a selective approach to the term. He has strayed from American values with his support for the Culture of Death. He is a pro abortion extremist. Tripling the national debt is certainly not in accord with American values. It is Voodoo economics. Increasing the influenece of the State is at odds with the beliefs of most Americans who are certainly not Socialists.

Video:Pro Life supporters interrupt Obama speech at Notre Dame
Obama professes himself as being opposed to torture yet is an ardent supporter of the torture of the innocent unborn child in the womb. Just visualize the agony suffered by the defenseless child in its mother’s womb as it struggles against the abortionists forceps and the scissors and the high powered suction tube. What a hypocrite.
Excerpt from text of Notre Dame's honorary degree to Barack Obama
He now organizes a larger community, bringing to the world stage a renewed American dedication to diplomacy and dialogue with all nations and religions committed to human rights and the global common good.
Obama has trampled on the human rights of the innocent unborn child. Yet an ostensibly Catholic institution awards him an honorary degree for upholding human rights. Notre Dame has disgraced itself. The words Notre Dame translated into English mean Our Lady. This is an insult to the Mother of God.

Video: Supermodel Kathy Ireland tells Mike Huckabee why she changed from pro-abortion to pro-life
Supermodel Kathy Ireland explains why she has changed form a pro-abortion position to a strong pro-life stance. She uses science to guide her and quotes the law of biogenesis to buttress her argument. This is the finest exposition of the pro-life position that I have ever heard.

Obama moving US towards despotism say bishops as huge clash with Catholic Church looms
A major confrontation between US Catholics and Barack Obama is looming over freedom of conscience and religion.
In a stark warning released on video on the internet, America’s bishops say that the US is in danger of moving towards “despotism” under Obama.
The bishops were responding to the news that the Obama administration intends to abolish rules which guarantee that health workers cannot be forced to do what they believe is evil.
“As Catholic bishops and American citizens, we are deeply concerned that such an action would be the first step in moving our country from democracy to despotism,” says spokesman Cardinal Francis George.
“Respect for personal conscience and freedom of religion ensures our basic freedom from government oppression,” says the Chicago Cardinal. “No government should come between an individual person and God.”
Noting that this was common ground for all Americans, he continues: “We need legal protection for freedom of conscience and of religion—including freedom for religious health care institutions to be true to themselves.”
“Why shouldn’t our government and our legal system permit conscientious objection to a morally bad action, the killing of babies in their mother's womb?” he asked.
“People understand what really happens in an abortion—a living member of the human family is killed, ... and no one should be forced by the government to act as though he or she were blind to this reality.”
He urged Catholics to tell the Department of Health “that you stand for the protection of conscience, especially now for those who provide the health care services so necessary for a good society.”
Earlier, speaking in Oxford, Cardinal Pell of Sydney warned of “a major escalation in the culture wars” if Obama goes ahead and signs into law a proposed ‘Freedom of Choice Act’.
This would sweep away all state restrictions on abortion. It would also “remove any protections in legislation for doctors, nurses, and hospitals with moral objections to abortion.
“I am still hoping,” said the Cardinal “that the President will not trigger such a massive confrontation with pro-life Christians

DHS report targeting the Rightwing a symptom of Obama administration persecution complex and a threat to freedom of speech
From the report, p.2:
Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.Looks like the Obama administration has already developed a persecution complex. Barack Obama displayed a very thin skin in the course of the presidential election campaign. He took aim at Sean Hannity of Fox News both during and in the aftermath of the campaign. Joe the Plumber was devoured by Obama acolytes and the liberal media. His crime: He dared to ask Barack the hard question on taxation. Obama hatchet men/women have attacked and continue to attack Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin . Obama is displaying a keen sense of insecurity. The president has failed to roll with the punches thereby weakening his own position and authority.
The DHS definition of right wing extremism gives grave cause for concern. It is becoming increasingly apparent that those on the right who dare to criticize this left wing administration will be targeted for attack by Obama himself, his subordinates and liberal media hatchet men and women.
Apparently you are a rightwing extremist if you favour greater local/state authority over federal authority. If you are anti government you may be labelled a right wing extremist. Single issue groups such as anti abortion groups or anti immigration groups will be deemed right wing extremists. Journalists such as Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannitty who have taken a strong line on illegal immigration may be deemed rightwing extremists. Sarah Palin who has taken a strong line on illegal immigration and abortion may be deemed a rightwing extremist. Presumably Mike Huckabee will qualify on the abortion issue whilst Newt Gingrich will register on the tax issue. Obviously the liberal/socialist big brother is watching. Undoubtedly the Teaparty tax protesters will qualify for special attention.
America is on the slippery slope to major erosion of freedom of speech if the Obama administration gets its way. Freedom of speech is the oxygen, which fuels democracy. Tamper with it at your peril
Now lets reword the extract quoted above:
Leftwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious groups), and those that are mainly pro government, favouring greater federal authority at the expense of state or local authority. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as pro-abortion extremists or proponents of a liberal immigration policy
Barack Obama himself would qualify as a leftwing pro-abortion extremist. Bill Maher would qualify as a leftwing extremist who persistently ridicules the Catholic Church. Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi who favour massive increases in government expenditure would also qualify as left wing extremists.
This left wing administration is losing its way. All threats to free speech must be stymied.

Spain:100,000 March for Life in Madrid to protest against Abortion policies of Socialist Government
Demonstrations against abortion were held in Madrid and 87 other cities across Spain on Sunday. The countrywide demonstrations were organized by Spain's pro-life associations Derecho a Vivir (Right to Life), Hazte OÃr (Make Yourself Heard), Doctors for Life, and ProLife Madrid. It is estimated that 500,000 took part in total. 100,000 people attended the Madrid protest. The Manifesto for Life was read at all rallies
AGENZIA SIR reports
THE “MANIFESTO” SIGNED BY 300 SCIENTISTS AND SCHOLARS AGAINST ABORTION
The twelve points mentioned in the Manifesto defend “human life in its initial stage, as an embryo and as a fetus,” and reject “the use of abortion towards economic or ideological lucrative interests.” The document calls for a “correct interpretation of scientific data on human life in all its stages.” The scholars also analyse the social consequences of abortion, which they call “tragic”, adding that “a society that remains indifferent to the slaughter of nearly 120,000 babies each year is a failed and sick society.” Likewise, they reject the possibility that a sixteen-year-old girl can abort without parental consent and claim that “an abortion law without restrictions would make the woman the only one responsible for a violent act against the life of her own son.” Among the signatories there are Professors Nicolás Jouve, Dean of Genetics; César Nombela, Dean of Microbiology; Francisco AbadÃa Fenoll, retired Dean of Cellular Biology; and Julio Navascués MartÃnez, Dean of Cellular Biology. The Manifesto, that can be signed only by persons of intellectual authority and excellence, has already gathered more that 300 signatures.
CNA reports
Thousands of Spaniards gathered this week in Madrid for the "March for Life," which had as its theme, "There is no right to kill, there is only the right to live." The march was held in opposition to a plan to liberalize the country’s laws on abortion. Eighty seven simultaneous marches also took place in cities across Spain.
Speakers at the march in Madrid included Paloma de Cendra, member of the Right to Life Committee of Experts, and an expert on post-abortion stress syndrome; Ignacio Arsuaga, president of the watchdog website Hazteoir.org; and Dr. Gador Joya, national spokesman for Right to Life. Dr. Joya read the Manifesto for Life at the event.
Cendra, who for years has been helping women who have aborted, said she has yet to find a "single one who wanted to do it." They did it, she said, out of "fear, loneliness, abandonment, pressure, discrimination, and even threats." "Is this the free choice that some proclaim?" she asked........

Obama plans to trample on the Freedom of Conscience of Doctors and Nurses who refuse to participate in abortions
Unfortunately Barack Obama-who is a pro abortion extremist-has decided to rescind a policy that protects the conscience and rights of American health care workers. On February 27th 2009 the proposal to rescind the Bush rule was quietly put forward by the Health and Human Services (HHS) Department.
The following appears in the Susan B Anthony List and emphasizes the gravity of the situation:
I recently received an e-mail from Mary, health care worker and SBA List member, in Virginia, who told me,
“I can assure you that my colleagues and myself will leave the profession rather than be forced to participate in such activities...I will not go against the beliefs I have lived my entire life following. Our country already has a critical shortage of nurses, doctors, and technicians to care for the growing population who require experienced, dedicated workers to provide the extremely difficult and highly technical procedures available. We have to take an oath to 'do no harm' before we receive our license to work. I honor my promises, no matter the cost to me personally."
A petition against Obama's proposals may be signed here. Obama is prepared to trample on the rights of the unborn and healthcare workers to fulfil his culture of death agenda. Has the man no regard to the Fifth Commandment?

Florida doctor loses license after botched abortion and can no longer practice medicine in the state
The Board of Medicine has revoked the license of a Florida doctor accused of medical malpractice in a botched abortion case in which a live baby was delivered, but ended up dead in a cardboard box. Police found the infant's decomposing remains a week later.
The board on Friday found Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique in violation of Florida statutes by committing medical malpractice, delegating responsibility to unlicensed personnel, and failing to keep an accurate medical record. Renelique and his attorney declined to comment after the hearing..............The Department of Health recommended that his license be suspended. But the board decided to revoke it instead which means he will not be able to practice medicine in Florida.
No criminal charges have been filed in the case, but the state attorney's office is investigating (Buffalo News)
Abortion is an ugly and sordid business.Hopefully Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique may learn to appreciate the sanctity of human life and abide by the Law of God.The decision of the Board of Medicine to revoke the license is welcome.

Miami Abortion Horror Story-Fl Doctor Investigated
Eighteen and pregnant, Sycloria Williams went to an abortion clinic outside Miami and paid $1,200 for Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique to terminate her 23-week pregnancy.
Three days later, she sat in a reclining chair, medicated to dilate her cervix and otherwise get her ready for the procedure.
Only Renelique didn't arrive in time. According to Williams and the Florida Department of Health, she went into labor and delivered a live baby girl.
What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic's owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant's umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.
Police recovered the decomposing remains in a cardboard box a week later after getting anonymous tips........
The state Board of Medicine is to hear Renelique's case in Tampa on Friday and determine whether to strip his license. The state attorney's homicide division is investigating....

Obama overturns Mexico City Policy -US tax dollars to fund foreign abortions
The ban is known as the Mexico City Policy because former Republican President Ronald Reagan first introduced it at a UN conference there in 1984. It was overturned by President Bill Clinton in 1993 and then reinstated by President Bush in 2001.
Barack Obama has signed the order to shut Guantanamo on the basis that it is an affront to American values and the Geneva Conventions. He is concerned with the human rights of prisoners in Guantanamo. Yet he expresses a callous disregard for the human rights of the unborn child in the womb. He has sanctioned the provision of American tax-payers money to kill the most vulnerable-those who cannot speak for themselves.
Obama has pledged to sign the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) and other pro-abortion rights laws. FOCA would abolish existing minimal state and federal restrictions on abortion and would even threaten the rights of Catholic hospitals to refuse to perform abortions.
