Obama Campaign stifles free speech and boots McCain endorsing Journalists off plane

“The Obama campaign has decided to heave out three newspapers from its plane for the final days of its blitz across battleground states -- and all three endorsed Sen. John McCain for president! The NY POST, WASHINGTON TIMES and DALLAS MORNING NEWS have all been told to move out by Sunday to make room for network bigwigs -- and possibly for the inclusion of reporters from two black magazines, ESSENCE and JET”, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

This decision exposes the real Obama and smacks of Stalinism. It is a fine example of the Socialist jackboot in action. So much for unifying America. So much for reaching across to the other side of the political divide. So much for unifying red and blue states. It is glaringly obvious that Barack is incapable of taking criticism. In recent weeks he has lambasted Sean Hannity of Fox News. Hannity has dared to question the credentials of the Messiah.

Obama has benefited from the overwhelming support of the media in this campaign. CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC,MSNBC have provided overwhelmingly favourable comment. In short the electronic media and print media have heavily favoured Obama. This is unhealthy in a democracy. It has deified Obama. In general the liberal media has failed to subject the Obama policy platform to proper scrutiny. This cult of the leader would not be out of place in Stalinist Russia. Obama as a left wing Socialist obviously believes the propaganda of his supporters in the liberal media.
In all probability Obama if elected will attempt to take out Talk Radio. There have been threats from the Democrats that licenses would be withdrawn from radio stations, which carried ads from the NRA..

This has much in common with Castro’s Cuba and Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela. No doubt both would approve of Baracks attempts to muzzle the media. Does Obama believe in free speech?

30 Oct 2008 (NECN: Cape Girardeau, MO) - Sarah Palin held a "Road To Victory" rally at the Show Me Center

30 Oct 2008 (NECN: Cape Girardeau, MO) - Sarah Palin held a "Road To Victory" rally at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri this morning. Speaking to an overflow attendance she was hugely impressive. She spoke about the war in Iraq. She stated that a McCain/Palin administration would impose a spending freeze and make real cuts in taxation. She outlined plans for energy independence and pledged to work for special needs children. She said "every innocent life" counts. She said that Government should not take more. She stated that Obama has an ideological commitment to higher taxes and that he actually voted 94 times for higher taxes. She explained how Obama favoured bigger government , raising taxes and spreading the wealth-Socialism. She said that a McCain/Palin administration would clean up Wall Street..........

Ohio:Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber address 5,500 ecstatic supporters at Bowling Green State University

Republican vice presidential nominee Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin rallied a crowd of about 5,500 at Bowling Green State University with Samuel J. "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher, where she joined the chorus of criticism of Mr. Obamas appearance at a dinner five years ago to honor a representative of the Palestinian Liberation Organization.

Largely ignored by the liberal media Sarah Palin has addressed huge rallies throughout the country in recent weeks. Whilst the liberal media has continued its demonisation of Palin, conservative voters have rallied to the McCain/Palin cause angered at attacks on Palin.

Florida Video: Cuban- Americans fear Socialist Obama who will negotiate with Castro and Chavez

As this Sky News video explains many Cuban Americans in Florida fear Obama. They regard him as a North American Socialist who will negotiate with Castro and Chavez. These are the people who have good reason to detest Castro. The majority of Cuban Americans see Obama as radical on the left. They are voting in large numbers for John McCain.

Biden’s stance on abortion enrages Catholics – Major issue in states such as Ohio and Pennsylvania

Joe Biden-who is a Catholic- has consistently supported Roe V Wade in direct contravention of Catholic teaching on abortion. His support for abortion is rather strange since he believes that life begins at conception. In August 2007 in the US Senate Joe Biden cast a very important Anti-Life vote. He voted against the “Unborn Child Amendment”. The Amendment if passed would have made unborn babies eligible for federal aid by deeming them as separate beneficiaries from their mothers. It was defeated by just one vote-49 to 50.

This year both Biden and Obama voted in the US Senate against making permanent a Bush administration rule that extends a federal health care programme’s coverage to unborn babies and their mothers.
Obama’s selection of a pro-abortion Catholic as his running mate is a slap in the face for Catholics. Obama’s support for partial birth abortion shocks Catholics. Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver has stated that Biden should not receive Holy Communion.

In September Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. and Auxiliary Bishop James D. Conley released a new letter to the Catholics of northern Colorado, titled “Public Servants and Moral Reasoning.”

The letter concludes:
“In his Meet the Press interview, Sen. Biden used a morally exhausted argument that American Catholics have been hearing for 40 years: i.e., that Catholics can't "impose" their religiously based views on the rest of the country. But resistance to abortion is a matter of human rights, not religious opinion. And the senator knows very well as a lawmaker that all law involves the imposition of some people's convictions on everyone else. That is the nature of the law. American Catholics have allowed themselves to be bullied into accepting the destruction of more than a million developing unborn children a year. Other people have imposed their "pro-choice" beliefs on American society without any remorse for decades.

If we claim to be Catholic, then American Catholics, including public officials who describe themselves as Catholic, need to act accordingly. We need to put an end to Roe and the industry of permissive abortion it enables. Otherwise all of us - from senators and members of Congress, to Catholic laypeople in the pews - fail not only as believers and disciples, but also as citizens.”

Bishop Joseph Martino of Scranton Pennsylvania-Biden is a native of the city- stated “No Catholic politician who supports the culture of death should approach Holy Communion. I will be truly vigilant on this point”.
Biden’s current bishop, Bishop Saltarelli of Wilmington Delaware has stated that politicians “may not personally oppose abortion, but refuse to pass laws protecting the unborn”. Referring to pro abortion Catholics he said that, “ it would be more spiritually beneficial for such a person to refrain from receiving the Body and Blood of Christ.”
Archbishop Raymond Burke has attacked the Democrats on the issue of abortion.

The Democratic Parties support for abortion is diametrically opposed to the teachings of the Catholic Church and the Law of God.
No Catholic can in good conscience support the Obama /Biden ticket .

Sarah Palin's a Brainiac by Elaine Lafferty-The former editor in chief of Ms. Magazine

This article provides an insight into the real Sarah Palin. The author is a Democrat, but is working as a consultant with the McCain campaign since shortly after Palin's nomination. This is a story which has been hidden by the liberal media.
Here are some notable quotes:

“It's difficult not to froth when one reads, as I did again and again this week, doubts about Sarah Palin's “intelligence,” coming especially from women such as PBS's Bonnie Erbe,”………………….

“They know what I know, and I learned it from spending just a little time travelling on the cramped campaign plane this week: Sarah Palin is very smart”…

“Now by “smart,” I don't refer to a person who is wily or calculating or nimble in the way of certain talented athletes who we admire but suspect don't really have serious brains in their skulls. I mean, instead, a mind that is thoughtful, curious, with a discernable pattern of associative thinking and insight. Palin asks questions, and probes linkages and logic that bring to mind a quirky law professor I once had. Palin is more than a “quick study”; I'd heard rumors around the campaign of her photographic memory and, frankly, I watched it in action. She sees. She processes. She questions, and only then, she acts. What is often called her “confidence” is actually a rarity in national politics: I saw a woman who knows exactly who she is……”

Cornwalls Sue Aston:The Home Coming on violin-Celtic Music par excellence

The following quotation is taken from Sue's website:
"Recording my albums takes me on a journey that goes far beyond my passion for the Celtic Landscape that inspires it. As a composer I absorb a great deal of inspiration from the natural landscape, particularly the isolated areas of Cornwall which are rich in legend and folklore.Welcome to my world." Many of the people of Cornwall in SW England are of Celtic extraction just like the Irish.

Video:WFTV's Barbara West belittled By Brash Biden

In this interview Joe Biden comes across as condescending and bad mannered. The interviewer Barbara West asked topical questions aimed at eliciting information. She questioned Joe Biden about Acorn attempts to register phoney voters. She also referred to Obama's links to Acorn.

The next question concerned redistribution of wealth. After all Obama declared to Joe the Plumber that this was part of his political philosophy and policy platform. Biden did not like the interviewers reference to Marxism: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need (or needs)” Now Joe Biden cant have it both ways . In his acceptance speech he played the class warfare card. Obama's redistribution of wealth policy is grounded in Socialism/Marxism. Why not call it what it really is? Obama plans an explosion in expenditure devoted to Welfare. This is redistribution of wealth. Much of this money will come from higher taxes on the middle class and on businesses.

How is Obama going to finance tax cuts? His promises amount to 1,000 billion dollars. The bailout costs another 700 billion dollars. He is opposed to a public expenditure freeze. Obama and Biden must come clean on funding for tax cuts?

When asked about foreign policy he used the snide put down “I don’t know who is writing your questions for you.”
In the course of this campaign Obama and Biden have received very favourable treatment from most media organs. Now the Obama campaign is denying this station interviews because Joe Biden was asked substantive questions. This says it all.
Just imagine if Sarah Palin had addressed the interviewer in a similar manner to Joe Biden. There would be an outcry in the liberal media.

Fine Gael beats FF into second place in RedC/Sunday Business Post poll

The Red C poll in tomorrow's Sunday Business Post shows that for the first time since polling began, Fine Gael is 7% ahead of FF.

This public opinion poll however comes with a health warning. Red C carried out their monthly poll for the newspaper on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - at the height of the medical card controversy. In addition opposition to education cutbacks had begun to gain momentum. The IFA has begun a campaign against cutbacks in agriculture whilst the closure of army barracks has spawned further opposition. Unemployment has risen sharply and will continue to rise in the immediate future. The increase in health charges is highly unpopular. VHI charges will also rise as a consequence of budget decisions. The underfunding of local authorities will cause a sharp rise in rates and water rates. In addition a supplementary budget cannot be ruled out- probably after next Summers Local Elections.

A fall in support for FF is not unexpected. However the scale of the fall is rather surprising. The party is down 10% to 26%.FF has shown a capacity to recover in the run in to General Elections. However the harsh decisions required to put the economy on a firm footing may sap the party's energy somewhat. The results are hugely encouraging for FG and Labour. However both parties must convert this support into votes at the ballot box. FG will underestimate FF at its peril. Prior to the 07 General Election FG rose sharply in the polls but fell back in the final week of the campaign.
  • Fine Gael 33% (+5%)
  • Fianna Fail 26% (-10%)
  • Labour 15% (+6%)
  • Greens 6% (-1%)
  • Sinn Fein 10% (+1%)
  • PDs 2%(-1%)
  • Independents/Others 8% (+0%)
Just 23% of those polled said they were confident the Government could manage the public finances out of the recession, down 19% since last month, while 59% said they were not confident and 21% said they did not know.

Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi support for Abortion at odds with Catholic teaching.

Any Catholic politician who votes for abortion is at odds with Catholic teaching and the law of God. Any Catholic politician who attempts to uphold an already existing law, which promotes abortion, is at odds with Catholic teaching and the law of God.
In short politicians such as Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are guilty of grave mortal sin. They may not receive Holy Communion.
The same strictures apply to Catholic voters whether religious or lay. Catholic voters should not vote for Barack Obama who supports partial birth abortion. To do so is a grave sin.

The Democratic Party platform supports abortion. It is at odds with Catholic teaching and the law of God. No bluff or bluster from Obama, Biden or Pelosi can obscure this fact. The so -called pro- choice position represents the culture of death.

The following outlines clearly the Catholic Church position on the Abortion issue:

"John Paul II, continuing the constant teaching of the Church, has reiterated many times that those who are directly involved in lawmaking bodies have a «grave and clear obligation to oppose» any law that attacks human life. For them, as for every Catholic, it is impossible to promote such laws or to vote for them…..
When political activity comes up against moral principles that do not admit of exception, compromise or derogation, the Catholic commitment becomes more evident and laden with responsibility. In the face of fundamental and inalienable ethical demands, Christians must recognize that what is at stake is the essence of the moral law, which concerns the integral good of the human person. This is the case with laws concerning abortion and euthanasia (not to be confused with the decision to forgo extraordinary treatments, which is morally legitimate). Such laws must defend the basic right to life from conception to natural death."

Sarah Palin as VP will champion special financial plan for Special Needs Children

Today in Pittsburgh Sarah Palin called for parents of special needs children to use federal funding to pick the school of their choice. She stated that Obama would raise taxes on federal trusts designed to pay for medical and education costs for disabled children.

“In a McCain/Palin administration, we’re gonna put the educational choices for special needs children in the right hands, in the hands of the parents and the good responsible caretakers,” she said. “Under reforms that I will lead as vice president, the parents and caretakers of children with physical or mental disabilities will be able to send that boy or girl to the school of their choice, public or private.”

And, she added, those families are concerned about the tax policies of her opponent.
“They fear that Sen. Obama’s tax increase will have serious and harmful consequences,” she said. “And they’re right because the burden that his plan would pose upon these families is just one more example of how many plans can be disrupted and how many futures can be placed at risk and how many people can suffer when the power to tax is misused.”
Palin said Obama would raise taxes on federal trusts that families establish to pay for medical and educational costs for children with physical or mental disabilities.
“We’ll protect the savings and the earnings of American families and we’ll allow more of that investment and the prioritisation via our own families to make the difference here,” Palin said

Obama Tax Plan- Calculations Do Not Add Up (Voters Misled)

The UnionLeader.com publishes a forensic article -on Obama's tax proposals-titled "It doesn't compute: Obama's tax plan a ruse". Here are some excerpts:
..."According to the plan, "his tax relief for middle-class families is larger than the revenue raised by his tax changes for families over $250,000." That sounds like he's giving a net tax cut. But much of what he calls "tax cuts" are actually cash payments to low- and middle-income Americans. Ultimately, he sends out of Washington hundreds of billions of dollars more than it takes in..."

"....The bottom line is that Obama is not being honest about his tax and spending plans. It is impossible -- impossible! -- for him to finance his giveaways by taxing only those making $250,000 or more. He will have to raise taxes substantially on people making much, much less than that.."

Take particular note of this readers comment:
"Most small business owners file their taxes as individuals, not as businesses. When asked whether the $250,000 amount was 'net' or 'gross' income, the Obama spokesperson responded "gross". Therefore, any Joe-the-Plumber who has 6 employees and who, along with them, draws a $35,000 salary, will find himself with a significant tax increase. What's his option? Lower salaries? Cut an employee?Obama's tax plan is downright stupid, particularly in this environment. And as for his 95% getting a tax break, two pesky items to point out:First, 40% pay NO federal income taxes at all, so 40% will be getting a welfare check at the expense of the other 60%.

Second, EVERYONE who pays taxes at all will see them increased because the Bush tax cuts will be tossed. In so many ways, Obama would be a disaster for the USA.Therefore, while I am no cheerleading fan of McCain's, he is the one for whom my family is voting. Once again, the lesser of two evils. Much lesser.- Pamela Valentine, Washington NH

The full article is compulsive reading for all voters. Be afraid; be terribly afraid of Obama's tax proposals.

Obama's $600 Million Campaign Spending Obscene (No Criticism From Liberals)

It is get Sarah Palin time once more. The Republican National Committee has bought Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her family nearly $150,000 worth of clothing since September. As usual the Democrats and the hypocritical liberal media are in full cry in an effort to destroy Palin. She has been accused of hypocrisy. This is a storm in a teacup. After the election the clothes will be donated to charity.

Now lets look at the real hypocrites. Barack Obama is spending 600 million dollars on his campaign to win the presidential election. Not one word of criticism from any one in the Democratic Party. The Gestapo liberal media sweeps this obscenity under the carpet. Talk about angels with dirty faces. Uproar over $150,000, silence about the $600 million.

This is an effort by the Democrats and their allies to shift the attention away from Obama's plans to increase Welfare and redistribute the wealth

CNN anchor Drew Griffin distorts National Review quote in interview with Sarah Palin

The National Review carried a story which was actually highly complimentary of Sarah Palin. Drew Griffin in this interview misrepresented the thrust of the article. CNN -whilst supporting Barack Obama -has generally been reasonably fair in the campaign. It should apologise to Sarah Palin. Palin has been shockingly treated by the liberal media.

Ireland:15,000 Old Age Pensioners Demonstrate Outside the Dail

15,000 Irish Old Age pensioners demonstrate outside the Dail to condemn the FF/Green/PD Government's decision to end universal entitlement to the Medical Card for over 70s. The decision of the Government to backtrack on its original proposal and to exclude 5% of the pensioners from entitlement, has failed to mollify the pensioners who fear that the breach of universality is the thin edge of the wedge to erode other entitlements.

Ireland-Government Surrenders on Medical Cards for Over 70s(Grey Voters flex muscles)

Video requires RealPlayer

This TV3 video features a pensioners rally in Dublin to oppose the governments decision to remove automatic entitlement to medical cards for the over 70s. This video speaks for itself. Government representatives who attempted to address the meeting were prevented from speaking. Opposition leaders Enda Kenny and Eamon Gilmore were loudly applauded. The venue for the meeting had to be moved from a city hotel to nearby St Andrew's Church in Westland Row to accommodate the numbers.

The meeting unanimously passed a motion calling on the Government to reverse its decision to end universal entitlement for medical cards for all over 70s.

Last Tuesday the FF/Green/PD government withdrew automatic entitlement to a Medical Card for all over 70s . Means testing was to be introduced to determine entitlement. In the course of the budget speech some FG and Labour Party TDs already realised that the government had committed a huge political blunder. There was an immediate outcry from the elderly and from organizations representing them. The decision struck terror into large numbers of pensioners. I have never encountered such fury among pensioners. The FG and Labour parties launched a ferocious attack on the measures in the Dail. Within 24 hours of the announcement some TDs in the government parties and indeed some ministers such as Brian Lenihan began to wobble. In addition independent TDs such as Michael Lowry and Finian McGrath declared that they could not support the measures. FF TD Joe Behan resigned from the party.

The pressure continued to build. A vote on an FG private members motion in the Dail seeking the restoration of the entitlement to all over 70s was due on tomorrow night. There was no certainty that the government could vote down the motion. Today the government caved in and raised the threshold levels so as to ensure that only the top 5% of pensioners would be deprived of the card. The new income thresholds for qualification for a medical card for over-70s are €700pw for a single person, equivalent to €36,500pa, and €1,400pw for a couple, or €73,000pa.
Existing medical card holders will not have to undergo a means test. Instead, they will be asked to notify the Health Service Executive if they are over the income threshold. 20,000 people will lose their medical cards.
People who currently have a medical card and who are over the new income threshold will not keep their medical card after 1 January, under legislation to be brought forward.

However the fury has not abated as the principle of universality has been breached. Serious damage has been done to the authority of the government and to the leadership of Brian Cowen. This episode has seriously eroded the authority of Mary Harney as Minister for Health. The grey vote has flexed its muscles in no uncertain terms and will grow in importance as the population ages. Many pensioners were terrified by the proposed budget changes. In addition the budget proposals were viewed as the ultimate insult to a generation that made huge sacrifices in the 1980s when the marginal rate of income tax was 58%. Much of Ireland's prosperity today is due to its sacrifices. The tsunami of criticism has rocked the FF party to its foundations. In addition the Greens have been seriously damaged. A new political force has been energised. Expect to hear more from the over 70s who have emerged radicalised and more confident from the heat of battle.

Today the government backtracked on the application of a 1% levy to all income-part of last weeks budget- and announced that those on incomes below the minimum wage will be exempt from the proposed 1% levy. The threshold for the 2% levy will be lowered bringing in more middle-income taxpayers to compensate for the loss of revenue.

Two u-turns -on one day- are unheard of in Irish politics. Now huge opposition to changes in the pupil teacher ratio -in the nations schools- is building. In addition university students are up in arms over the increase in the registration fee from €900 to €1500. This government could be heading for the cliff of political destruction.

MSNBC Video: Sarah Palin on Campaign Trail pays special attention to special needs children

Sarah Palin whose son Trig has Down syndrome is a champion of special needs children. The parents of such children are real heroes. Many are flocking to Palin's rallies. This is a story hidden by the liberal media. On the campaign trail the real Sarah Palin shines through. She is a woman of great compassion. The election of the McCain /Palin ticket would ensure that special needs children have true friends in the White House.

Obama supporters Protest C*nt Sarah Palin in Philadelphia (Time for Obama to apologise)

It is time for Barack Obama to apologise for the outrageous behaviour of his supporters in Philadelphia. The Gateway Pundit carries excellent pictures portraying the hatred of Obamas Lefties for Palin. Of course this is a story which will not see the light of day in the liberal media.

In Tuesday nights presidential debate from New York, Barack Obama smeared Sarah Palin. He said when addressing John McCain : “at some of the rallies that your running mate was holding there were shouts of …. "kill him. He also said "your running mate didn't mention, didn't stop, didn't say 'hold on a second, that's kind of out of line' ". Obama LIED. These allegations were investigated by the Secret Service PRIOR to the debate and found to be false. So after all Obama is not the Messiah.
Meanwhile the HATE CAMPAIGN by Obama supporters trundles on.

Colin Powell endorsement of Obama no surprise-(A Cynical Decision based on Race??)

So Colin Powell has finally endorsed Barack Obama. Surprise Surprise. In September Colin Powell stated that the election of an African-American US president would be “electrifying” for the world. So he emphasized the African American aspect. Race is obviously an important issue for him even though he will deny it. He wishes to be part of history-as he sees it. Many white voters will see this as a further example of African -Americans closing ranks behind their man. Of course to suggest that race is a major consideration for Powell is to run the risk of being labelled racist. The unvarnished truth is that race was the major consideration. This could backfire badly on Obama. Many whites may decide in the privacy of the ballot box not to vote for an African- American president on the basis of closing ranks around their man.

It is safe to assume that a high proportion of the 98% of African Americans -who support Obama -will vote on the basis of the colour of his skin. Colin Powell can make all the lofty claims he likes about Obama but the reality is that he left the cat out of the bag in September.
In addition his endorsement has come late in the campaign. Looks like a cynical effort to secure a position in a putative Obama administration. Of course he agrees with Obama on issues such as abortion.

Powell criticized the tone of the McCain/Palin campaign and criticized Sarah Palin's readiness for office. This is risible. It is the ultimate in hypocrisy. Barack Obama has NO executive experience whilst Palin has executive experience as Governor of Alaska.
Apparently Powell is not at all concerned at the savage attacks on Sarah Palin.

Carpetbaggers have a chequered history in politics.

McCain -- national punchbag for crisis the Democrats created- says Ruth Dudley Edwards

This article in the Sunday Independent is an excellent analysis of the genesis of the current economic crisis prevailing not alone in the US but throughout the world. It is also weighs the relative merits of both John McCain and Barack Obama as presidential material. Here are some excerpts:

".......The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and the economic hell that the world is now experiencing began with the determination of Bill Clinton and the Democratic Party to force mortgage providers to help the poor -- particularly those from ethnic minorities -- to become home owners.

Clinton became alarmed at the rampant success of his policy enforcers, but his attempt to introduce regulation of the sub-prime market was shot down in Congress by his own party, who were in thrall to the powerful Congressional Black Caucus who attacked prudence as racism.
George W Bush's several attempts to rein back mortgage providers were similarly sabotaged. "The Democrats are our family," said the head of Freddie Mac to the meeting of the Black Caucus in 2004 at which Obama was welcomed into the group: "You are our conscience."

There are hundreds of thousands of poor people, black, white and Hispanic, who are now homeless because the Democratic Party allowed itself to be bullied by that caucus. And Obama's failure to question the group's activities is all of a piece with his political record. He talks of change but -- unlike McCain, who is an instinctive and brave reformer -- as a politician he has never questioned the institutions of which he has been part......"

"....As a state senator for eight years, he never challenged corruption in the Democratic political sewer that is Chicago. On the contrary, he sucked up to the power-brokers and wheeler-dealers and chose as his friends people who could help him extend his political base. ......"

More than just a moment in history.
Yours is a friendship that lasts forever.
Every day I hear you speak.
Mysteries revealed each day.
Hidden treasures found in faith.
You are the fire sent down from heaven.
Until I see you face to face.
I will run to you, and your words of truth.
HOLY SPIRIT COME! COME AND FILL ME WITH YOUR LOVE.
MOVE INSIDE OF ME.
FILL THE AIR I BREATHE.
HOLY SPIRIT COME! FALL ON ME! Conversations run so deep.
Spoken promises from the King.
I never want to leave your presence.
You are all that I need.
Saturate every move I make so I'm filled with what I crave.
Open my eyes to the pathways ahead every step that I take.
I will run to you, and your words of truth.

Obama guarantees Driver's Licenses to all Illegals who apply for them

Hillary Clinton's stinging criticism of Barack Obama

The ad features just some of the many negative comments Senator Hillary Clinton made about Barack Obama.

Obama Smears Against Palin a tissue of lies-The Words Kill Him NOT uttered at Palin rallies

There has been a Secret Service investigation into these allegations. Not a scintilla of evidence has been uncovered to support them. The Secret Service has found that no video or audio evidence exists to support Obama’s allegations. Furthermore no witnesses exist to corroborate the "kill him" allegations made by two liberal journalists. Obama was appraised of this PRIOR to taking part in the debate.

Kill Him Number One - Clearwater, Florida. The Clearwater "kill him" allegation was made by Dana Milbank. The Secret Service listened to tapes of this event and found that someone shouted "Tell Him" after Palin mentioned Bill Ayers. Kill Him Number Two - Scranton, PA. The Scranton "kill him" allegation was made by a reporter from the Scranton Times-Tribune.The Secret Service investigated the allegations and found that there was no video or audio evidence to support the journalist’s claims. No witnesses corroborated the allegations. The Secret Service declared the charge 'unfounded'.

Obama LIED in the debate. Is he man enough to apologise for this outrageous smear? Don’t hold your breath.

Ireland-Government rocked by groundswell of opposition to medical card proposals forced to backtrack

No sooner had Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan completed his budget speech than Government deputies from FF, Greens and PDs broke out in thunderous applause. However opposition deputies on the FG and Labour benches had already spotted serious flaws in some of the proposed health and education cutbacks.

The Government's decision to end universal medical card provision for people over 70 lit the fuse. The opposition in the Dail was apoplectic with rage. Enda Kenny and Eamon Gilmore spearheaded the attack. Yet Brian Cowen, Mary Harney and Mary Coughlan strongly defended the proposal. Government TDs were slow to react.

Grey voters vented their spleen with a display of ferocity seldom seen in Irish politics. Many elderly people have been stunned and frightened by the proposals. All organs of the media were utilized. Now many backbench FF, Green and Independent TDs supporting the government have begun to rebel. Independents such as Michael Lowry and Finian McGrath have come out strongly in opposition
Today Wicklow TD Joe Behan resigned from the Fianna Fáil party in protest at the Budget citing not alone cutbacks in health but also in education. Mr Behan has accused the Cabinet of being out of touch with the electorate.

Just one question for many of these backbench FF deputies. Why did they not shout stop when the FF/PD government allowed public expenditure to rocket by 25% in the two years leading up to the 2007 general election. The property boom bubble supported this growth in public expenditure. It was clearly unsustainable. Many of these deputies won their seats on the back of benign budgets. It is possible that the outgoing government would have been re-elected without such a massive growth in public expenditure.

Four years ago Richard Bruton FG Finance spokesman warned of the unsustainability of the public expenditure splurge and spoke continuously about the inevitable consequences.. Economists such as George Lee, Dr Alan Ahearne and David McWilliams warned about a property boom crash. They were accused of talking down the economy.

The present Medical Card proposals would not get through the Dail. Any effort to force them through would tear the FF Party asunder. The Independents and Greens would probably desert. Tonight on RTE Taoiseach Brian Cowen announced that he would set up a process to deal with the problem. The Government intends to try and renegotiate with the IMO with a view to securing savings.

It is likely that the proposals will be substantially amended or parked. However FF backbenchers, Green Party and Independent TDs had better get used to bad news. Indeed a supplementary budget cannot be ruled out in July 2009 (after the Local Elections) to arrest the slide in the public finances. In addition there may be at least two more harsh budgets one in December 2009 and the other in December 2010. The Government has scored a huge political own goal. Happy are those sitting on the opposition benches.

Pennsylvania-Palin promises tax-cut during Scranton visit

Visiting Northeast Pennsylvania for the first time, Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin touted the new economic plan running mate John McCain unveiled Tuesday...... The new economic plan would get the nation “through a time of testing” and put “the economy back on track,” she said.
“Under this plan, we’ll help American families keep their homes and save family neighborhoods and bring stability to our housing market,” Mrs. Palin said. The plan seeks to reduce to 10 percent the tax on senior-citizen withdrawals from retirement accounts in 2008 and 2009, reduce to 7.5 percent the capital gains tax in 2009 and 2010 and quintuple deductions of capital losses. It is meant to supplement Mr. McCain’s call last week for a $300 billion government purchase of troubled mortgages.Mrs. Palin’s 29-minute speech was frequently interrupted with applause or chants of “Sarah! Sarah! Sarah!” ........... Full Report:The Times Tribune

NY - Third Presidential Debate-McCain goes on the attack (Obama Company Taxation plans will send millions of jobs to Europe and Asia)

This debate featured sharper exchanges than the previous two. McCain was the more forceful of the two candidates and delved forensically into policy matters. Obama attempted to parry McCain attacks. This is a calculated strategy to avoid a detailed analysis of Obama policies many of which do not stand up to scrutiny especially in the current financial crisis. His promises of a middle class tax cut are hot air-incapable of being implemented in the current financial circumstances, without a spending freeze-which Obama opposes.

The debate opened with a discussion on taxation. John McCain stressed the need to reduce taxes and the necessity not to increase taxes on the likes of Joe Plumber. McCain opposed Obamas plans to increase company taxation on the basis of a jobs outflow to lower taxation destinations in Europe and Asia. Obama spoke about middle class tax cuts. McCain emphasized the necessity to reduce taxes on business to increase employment opportunities.

The next topic was the deficit. Both candidates spoke about the necessity of reducing the deficit. McCain was far more specific. He emphasized a spending freeze and detailed methods for balancing the budget. Obama was particularly weak on this topic. Obama opposed a spending freeze. Hence his proposals for a middle income tax cut go up in smoke. McCain emphasized that Obama has proposals for 860 billion dollars in extra spending.

Obama attempted to tie McCain to President Bush. John McCain said:”I am not President Bush.” John McCain said that Barack Obama had voted for two budgets, which increased taxes on those earning over 42,000 dollars. Obama denied this –not too convincingly.

The third segment featured negative campaigning. Both candidates criticized each others campaign strategies. Obama criticized comments at Sarah Palins rallies. McCain strongly defended her. He outlined how he had condemned any unfair comments in contrast to Obama who had singularly failed to do so. McCain referred to disgraceful happenings at Democratic rallies, which had largely gone unreported. He referred to outrageous comments by Democrat Congressman John Lewis who attempted to tie him to George Wallace. William Ayres and Acorn figured strongly. This may have damaged Obama. Obama failed to convince here.

The next topic was advisors and running mates.McCain listed Palin’s achievements in Alaska on energy, rooting out of corruption and balancing the budget. Obama defended Joe Biden. John McCain referred to Biden’s vote against the First Gulf War and a proposal to divide Iraq in three segments-both serious blunders.

Energy was the next topic featured. McCain was stronger on energy hammering Obama on nuclear and off shore drilling. Obama is opposed to more nuclear and off shore drilling.

Trade featured next with sharp exchanges on free trade. McCain caught Obama on trade with Colombia. McCain warned that to restrict free trade and to raise taxes is to trigger a depression. He is correct. NAFTA also figured here.

Health Plans figured next. Both candidates rehearsed the same arguments as in the previous two debates. On this occasion McCain explained clearly that 95% of Americans would be better off under his plan. He had failed to explain this fully previously.

Roe V Wade came up for discussion. McCain damaged Obama on the issue of partial birth abortion. Obama waffled on this issue. Obama supports tax payer funded abortions.

Education featured sharp exchanges. Obama appears content to throw money at the problem. McCain was stronger on reform of the system.

Obama's approach is governed by a desire to Spend, Spend, Spend. Greater state involvement, greater state involvement. The corollary of this is higher taxation and stagnation. Obama's coolness and smooth talking is no substitute for substance. Obama's policy of higher taxation on businesses is a godsend to workers in Europe and Asia. More American plants will move to these destinations to avoid higher taxation. His company taxation policy is economic lunacy. American workers vote for Obama if you wish to send your jobs to Europe and Asia. No wonder most Europeans are rooting for Obama.

Sarah Palin and her family are trashed by Doonesbury Cartoons

Since John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate she has been subjected to a vicious hate campaign by elements in the liberal media . The attacks have also extended to family members. The cartoons in Doonesbury plummet the depths and are part of a campaign of demonisation. Just imagine if the Obama family were subjected to such insidious attacks.
Quite simply there would be uproar amongst liberal elements. Sarah Palin has been targeted because she is pro-life. Secular progressives are the new Stalinists.

Irelands Harshest Budget in living memory-Taxpayer and Consumer blues.

This budget was set against the background of a horrific deterioration in the public finances caused by the bursting property bubble in Ireland and by international factors. In the two budgets prior to the 2007 general election the FF/PD government allowed public expenditure to grow by 25%. This growth in public expenditure was supported by huge tax inflows from the property sector. Now that these have largely dried up the Government was left high and dry. The Government is now heist on its own petard.
This was an accident waiting to happen. Taxes from the property market are notoriously unreliable.

This is the harshest budget in living memory. Even to outline some of the harsh measures sends a chill through the bones.
There are some minor beneficial changes in Social Welfare Payments and Tax Bands allied to provisions geared towards innovation and R and D. There are some aids for the property market. However this is a TAKE budget which will raise an extra €2 billion in taxes. Government Borrowing is forecast at 6.5% of GNP. This is much too high. The EU requirement is 3%. In essence the Government must borrow €13 billion.

Income tax has been increased. A levy of 1% has been placed on all income up to €100,000 and at 2% on earnings over €100,0000. This is an income tax rise by another name. The PRSI ceiling has been raised also. Mortgage relief for non-first time house buyers has been cut from 20% to 15%. A €200 tax has been introduced on all benefiting from employer provided car parking in urban areas. Motor Tax rises by 4%/5%. Those who own a second property face a new € 200 tax. DIRT ,Capital Gains Tax and VAT have been raised.

The government has cut back financial support to local authorities so a massive hike in commercial rates and water rates will filter through.

Automatic entitlement to a Medical Card for all over 70s has been withdrawn. There is to be a 20 % increase in private and semi-private bed charges in public hospitals and Accident and Emergency charges are to increase by 50% from €66 to €100 for non medical card holders who attend A&E departments without a letter from their GP. The Drug Payment Scheme (DPS) threshold is being increased from €90 to €100 per month which, the Government says, will lead to savings of €15 million in drug costs.

The Registration Charge for Universities has been raised from €900 to €1500. The pupil teacher ratio in schools has been increased.
Petrol will rise by 8 cent per litre.
The budget will cost middle-income families an average of €2,500 per annum. There will be a €10 airport charge for passengers.
There are also some social welfare cutbacks.
The hair-shirt is back in Irish politics with a vengeance. It is likely that consumer confidence has been severely dented. In addition it is probable that two more harsh budgets may be in the offing.

Castro’s support for Obama no surprise-both are ideological blood brothers (Cuban exiles unimpressed)

It is hardly surprising that Fidel Castro has thrown his weight behind Barack Obama.
Is not Castro a relict of the Communist era? – A Socialist dinosaur who has led Cuba to economic destruction.

A man who has turned the country into a police state all in the name of a sham egalitarianism. Cuba is an economic basket case.
Naturally Castro recognises a true left wing politician when he sees one. Obama is on the left wing of the Democratic Party and is the darling of most leftists. He is a true Socialist. The US Communist Party and the Trotskyite Democratic Socialists of America have thrown their weight behind Obama.

There is a message here for voters. Obama’s economic policy has similarities with that of the Cuban Communist Party. Obama believes that if there is a large redistribution of wealth a better society will evolve. This egalitarian approach is the road to ruin. It has been tried in Cuba and Eastern Europe by Communist regimes. It has been an unmitigated failure. Greater state involvement results in a bloated bureaucracy at greater cost to the taxpayers. It generates inefficiency and inertia. Obama just does not understand business and wealth creation. Any politician worthy of the name would not propose a doubling of the capital gains tax.

"He would double the capital gains tax to 28%. The net affect of this is that you will get far less when you sell your home or your 401K or your stock plan. He would double the dividends tax. That means that those who clip coupons from corporate stocks get less money.

He intends to increase the limit on Social Security taxes, which means that instead of paying 12 1/2 percent of the first $100,000, you pay it on everything that you're making. The real tax rate is then 60 percent." See Dick Morris

Obama’s social engineering will create a society where incentives to work are damaged and excessive redistribution saps initiative.
Obama is an ideological blood brother of Castro. No wonder Castro promotes his cause. Remember the Socialist approach is equality in poverty.
No doubt Cuban exiles in Florida will not be too impressed.

Sarah Palin Attacks Obama on Abortion and defends the right to life of the unborn in a speech par excellence at Johnstown PA

This is a moving speech beautifully crafted. It defends the right to life of all unborn children-indeed the sanctity of all human life. It takes into account Gods will. Referring to her child Trig who was born with Downs Syndrome she said "we feel blessed." Obama ignores Gods will on this issue. He supports unlimited abortion and the culture of death.

Sarah Palin went on to state:
“….Who is more vulnerable or more innocent than a child?.... Every innocent life does matter. Everone belongs in the circle of protection. Every child has something to contribute to our world if we give them that chance. And now there are the worlds standards of perfection and then there are Gods standards and these are the final measure. Every child is beautiful before God and dear to him for their own sake..... It is hard to think of many issues which could be possibly be more important than who is protected in law and who isn’t. Who is granted life and who is denied it .

So when our opponent speaks about questions of life I listen very carefully… So I listen when our opponent defended his unconditional support for unlimited abortions. He said that a woman shouldn’t have to be quote 'punished with a baby'… Ladys and gentlemen he said that right here in Johnstown: 'punished with a baby'. Its about time we called him on it”

Video: Obama Own Goal-“ACORN and Friends will shape my agenda”

Starting around 1:45, watch what Obama tells the 'activists.' This is highly embarassing for Obama in the run in to the Presidential Election.

Ireland –Government allocation to Local Authorities slashed for 2009-Rates to rocket

The Government-in the person of Minister for the Environment John Gormley is expected to slash support to Local Authorities by 13% in real terms. If as appears likely this is the case, rates on businesses will rocket. In addition water rates will climb steeply. This is stealth taxation in operation. It will escape analysis on budget day. Local Authorities –if deprived of an adequate Government subvention- will plug the gap by hammering businesses and agriculture. This will be the coup de grace for many in urban and rural Ireland. Water rates for farmers are already much too high. The FG Party has now advised councillors not to support such steep rises.

The Government should think again. It will kill the goose that lays the golden egg. It is just not fair to expect county councils and corporations to solve the government's funding difficulties. FF and the Greens face melt down in the Local Elections of 2009. In short the Government subvention cut is a massive stealth tax.

Sarah Palin- A woman of achievement and humanity who doesn’t just talk the talk she walks the walk.

The October edition of Alive carries an article on Sarah Palin titled:This Lady knows how to walk the walk. It was written by Anne Nolan. The article is not available online. Here is an excerpt.
Palin 44,has electrified the Republican Party and won the enthusiastic support of pro- life and pro-family groups across the states.

A committed Christian and a member of Feminists for Life, she gave birth some months ago to a baby with Downs Syndrome, despite pressure from doctors to abort the child. The day after her sons birth she announced “Trig is already beautiful and adored by us. We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives.

“We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make the world a better place. We are truly blessed”……… Here is a lady who doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk. And she makes the anti-life hardness of heart in Barack Obama look so stale, so has-been.

This video comes from Team Sarah . Team Sarah is a coalition of diverse women dedicated to advancing and defending Sarah Palin's Vice Presidential candidacy.

The top three recipients of campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are all Democrats :

Fine Gaels Tough but Fair Budget Proposals outlined in Recovery through Reform - A Budget Perspective

Background to this document:

With unemployment standing at 250,000 and expected to hit 300,000 by the end of 2009 and the general government deficit anticipated to come in at around 5.5% for 2008 the days of the Celtic Tiger are now a distant memory. Retail sales are falling and the construction industry is in freefall. Ireland has been hit by a double whammy. The Irish property boom had already begun to run out of steam in 2007. The international banking crisis has further exacerbated the situation. In addition excessively expansionary budgets by the FF/PD government in 2006 and 2007 further poured petrol on the flames of economic growth and ignited inflation. Rising oil gas and electricity prices have further damaged economic growth. The folly of over reliance on the property market is plain for all to see. . Now a massive retrenchment is called for. Such is the seriousness of the crisis that the government cannot boost the economy. Indeed there is a grave danger that too deflationary a budget may plunge the country into a very deep recession. It may severely damage consumer confidence already at a low ebb.

The Fine Gael Party has come up with excellent proposals to tackle the problem. These were unveiled at a news conference today. They appear in a document titled Recovery through Reform - A Budget Perspective”. It is important to remember that FG as an opposition party lacks the backing of the Civil Service for research purposes. The party has got to use its own resources. Party leader Enda Kenny- accompanied by Richard Bruton and Kieran O’Donnell has asked the paymaster general to cut his wages by 5% as he unveiled Budget proposals that include calls for a 12-month pay freeze for public sector workers earning in excess of €50,000. This cut by Kenny may be symbolic but it is leadership of the highest order. Fine Gael has proposed €1.8 billion in spending savings from the 2008 actual budget across all the Departments, excluding Social Welfare. The party proposals involve 5,000 voluntary redundancies in the civil service, a proposed fee level for banks using the Government guarantee of €1.5 billon and the introduction of an earnings cap of €125,000 for pension relief. It is opposed to any cuts in the Capital programme. Part of the proposals involves no increase in taxes. It has suggested that 30 or more quangos should be wound up.It also calls for an end to decentralization as presently proposed and a carbon windfall levy on power generators (€300m p.a.)

"Beyond these types of measures the Government can still act to help new business and encourage new industries. To do that we shouldn't see new taxes, stealth or direct, imposed on enterprise and commence the slashing of red tape for business that Fine Gael proposed 2 years ago. We should incentivise R&D and upskilling and re-training programmes so that as a country we can move up the value chain and regain our competitive export edge. This approach is set out in more detail in our document and offers a realistic road map for the Government to take. It is not an easy option and it is much more difficult than it might have been if action in this area had been taken years ago. These proposals, as set out are tough but they are, we believe, fair as well.

Commenting on the proposals today, Kieran O'Donnell said;
"It is vitally important that in the budget next week Fianna Fáil do not make the weak and the vulnerable the scapegoats for their failure to manage our finances. That is why I believe excluding Social Welfare payments from the savings programme and exempting those on wages below €50k from the pay and increments freeze are vital elements of the Fine Gael approach to this budget. In addition there is scope still to do positive things for those in greatest need. They include doubling the support for debt distressed home owners, increasing by 50% the winter fuel allowance and extending the back to education allowance for those earning less than €12p.h. These elements of fairness in next week's budget will send a signal that the Government is serious about social justice, but more importantly, serious about changing the way it governs."

Incidentally Enda Kennys two colleagues at the news conference, Richard Bruton and Kieran O'Donnell, said they would also accept a pay cut of 5%.
See full text of FG proposals here .

Louis Farrakhan (Nation of Islam Leader) Calls OBAMA the Messiah

Is not the word Messiah associated with Christianity?

Obama's radical Socialist and Marxist connections and convictions unfold

Barack Obama is a radical Socialist one of whose goals is to engineer election success through a form of class warfare. Consistently he has attacked the higher earners-the top 15% of voters.
He speaks about redistribution. He forgets that such attacks will force capital outflows to safer havens. Obama is by conviction a crypto Marxist. Certainly the candidate of change. The candidate of the radical left.

Just look at the following from American Thinker and then read the full article:
"Another piece in the puzzle of Barack Obama has been revealed, greatly strengthening the picture of a man groomed by an older generation of radical leftists for insertion into the American political process, trading on good looks, brains, educational pedigree, and the desire of the vast majority of the voting public to right the historical racial wrongs of the land.
The New Party was a radical left organization, established in 1992, to amalgamate far left groups and push the United States into socialism by forcing the Democratic Party to the left. It was an attempt to regroup the forces on the left in a new strategy to take power, burrowing from within. The party only lasted until 1998, when its strategy of "fusion" failed to withstand a Supreme Court ruling.
But dissolving the party didn't stop the membership,
INCLUDING Barack Obama, from continuing to move the Democrats leftward with spectacular success. "............................................

Presidential Debate- Nashville ,Tennessee: McCain V Obama: McCain enhances his Credentials on Economy

In the economic section of the debate John McCain was more specific. Obama tended to rely on populist generalisations. His solution appears to be more and more state involvement. Obama is a true Socialist. The state will solve all problems. The difficulty with his approach is that more state involvement requires higher taxes. There is no such thing as a free lunch. If voters opt for Obama on the health care issue they will pay a heavy financial price in increased taxes.

McCain caught out Obama on Freddie and Fannie. Obama being the second highest recipient of campaign contributions from Freddie and Fannie. McCain outlined how he attempted to introduce regulation on Freddie and Fannie. Obama was no place to be seen. McCain outlined a plan to buy up bad house loans and stabilise house values- cost 300 billion dollars. New mortgages at present values would be provided to those house owners. This just might work. I believe that this should come from the 700 billion rescue package.

McCain outlined how his tax policies would benefit the middle class and small business owners. McCain stressed energy independence: more off shore drilling and nuclear.
He outlined plans for public expenditure freeze (except military spending). This would help fund tax cuts.
McCain hammered Obama on spending and earmarks. Obama voted for 94 tax increases. Obama according to McCain has plans for 860 billion dollars in new spending. I suspect that it is much more. Clearly Obama’s tax promises cannot be fulfilled.
As McCain stated: “Nailing down Obama’s tax proposals is like nailing Jello to a wall".

Obama criticized McCain on Freddie and Fannie and on deregulation. Obama did not adequately answer McCain charges on Freddie and Fannie.

Obama outlined his ideas on middle class tax cuts. He attempted to inject class warfare into the debate. He criticized McCain proposals to lower tax burdens on industry. Obama fails to realise that various European countries have embarked on reducing tax burdens on industry. Failure to reduce taxes on industry will lead to job outflows. Obama pressed universal health care. Once more failing to realise that such a policy would ignite a taxation time bomb. It would cripple taxpayers. McCain challenged Obama's plans for fines. Obama failed to respond.
McCain performed very strongly on the economy. He certainly gained the upper hand on this key issue.

He exposed major contradictions in Obama’s plans. Obama stressed more and more state involvement and regulation. Even on energy Obama was economical with the truth.

Both candidates sparred on foreign policy: On Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Russia. McCain won this hands down. McCain made it clear that he would defend Israel in the event of an attack. Obama waffled. On Pakistan, Obama came across as naive.

Big Spender Obama's Promises would cost $293 Billion Extra in annual federal spending-National Taxpayers Union Federation (NTUF)

NTUF's fourth and final round of assigning price tags to the candidates' platforms since January 29 found that Sen. McCain (R-AZ) would increase yearly federal spending by $92.4 billion, compared to Sen. Obama's (D-IL) $293.0 billion......................

......Though it appears that Obama's platform cost has dropped since NTUF's last update on June 3 ($343.6 billion), excluding a previously unavailable savings estimate for reducing troop levels in Iraq ($90.5 billion annually), Obama would actually boost annual federal outlays by $383.4 billion - a 12 percent jump from June, Brady noted. Obama's annual spending platform has increased by about 34 percent since January 29 (when it was $287.0 billion).
Source: NTUF (National Taxpayers Union Federation a non partisan body

The American taxpayer cannot sustain the spending plans of Barack Obama. Obama cannot fund any middle class tax cuts.

Obama cannot deliver tax cuts to middle class (Sums do not add up)

Already Barack Obama has made promises totalling 1,000 billion dollars. In addition the bailout just agreed will cost an extra 700 billion dollars. Now he promises substantial tax cuts for the middle class. Quite simply these cannot be funded with an overhang of 1,700 billion dollars. This is political smoke and mirrors-loony bin economics. Such an economic policy will produce economic Armageddon.

Tax cuts can only be introduced by a freeze on government spending. Such a freeze would make resources available to fund such tax cuts. This is the McCain approach. McCain has advocated a freeze (excluding military spending). He has promised a war on waste and pork barrel spending. He has a strong track record in opposing pork barrel spending. Obama on the contrary has been a strong proponent of pork barrel spending and has voted for 94 tax increases.

When challenged on a public expenditure freeze-in the first debate-Obama ran for cover and fudged the issue.
Obama’s plans to double the capital gains tax is a further ingredient in the current instability. The likelihood of an Obama victory could trigger a further massive sell off on the stock market as investors seek to avoid higher capital gains tax rates.

Breath of Heaven-Amy Grant

Breath Of Heaven

I have traveled many moonless nights,
Cold and weary with a babe inside,
And I wonder what I’ve done.
Holy father you have come,
And chosen me now to carry your son.

I am waiting in a silent prayer.
I am frightened by the load I bear.
In a world as cold as stone,
Must I walk this path alone?
Be with me now.
Be with me now.

Breath of heaven,
Hold me together,
Be forever near me,
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven,
Lighten my darkness,
Pour over me your holiness,
For you are holy.
Breath of heaven.

Do you wonder as you watch my face,
If a wiser one should have had my place,
But I offer all I am
For the mercy of your plan.
Help me be strong.
Help me be.
Help me.

Breath of heaven,
Hold me together,
Be forever near me,
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven,
Lighten my darkness,
Pour over me your holiness,
For you are holy.

Breath of heaven,
Hold me together,
Be forever near me,
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven,
Lighten my darkness,
Pour over me your holiness,
For you are holy.
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven.

Harriet Christian a Hillary Clinton supporter praises Sarah Palin and criticizes Barack Obama

Sarah Palin is expected to win the support of 5,000,000 Hillary Clinton supporters

Obama Dupes The Middle Class On Income Tax Cuts (Effective Tax Rate under Obama would hit 60%)

Throughout this campaign Barack Obama and Joe Biden have continuously campaigned on the basis of providing a middle class tax cut. Unfortunately Obama has a strong record of voting to raise taxes. In fact Obama has voted 94 times to raise taxes. Obama has made promises totalling 1000 billion dollars. In addition the bailout of the banking system will conservatively cost another 700 billion dollars.

How will Obama fund the propose tax cuts and the huge expansion in socialised medicine? Quite simply the figures do not add up. Obama is not levelling with the electorate. He is a proponent of loony bin economics. Quite simply his promises will require a massive hike in taxes. He would double the capital gains tax to 28%.

The real tax rate is then 60 percent. See Dick Morris

In essence Obama's tax proposals are a massive con trick.

Stunning performance by Palin in Vice Presidential debate at Saint Louis (Palin turns the tables on detractors)

Sarah Palin performed very strongly. She was articulate, vivacious, charismatic and knowledgeable.
This was a champagne performance. Liberal media eat your hearts out. She was an inspired Vice Presidential selection. Joe Biden was Joe Biden –strong on some details but factually incorrect on others. Biden kept going back instead of forward. This was a bad blunder.

Palin strongly targeted Obama’s poor record on high spending and tax increases. She was strong on energy independence stressing the need for more drilling to ensure less American dependence on hostile foreign regimes. She continuously stressed reform of Wall Street and was strong on Israel. She outlined John McCain’s proposals two years ago to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. She hit Obama strongly on tax breaks for oil companies. She also dealt with her formidable record in Alaska where she introduced a balanced budget and reduced taxes.
Joe Biden was articulate and endeavoured to tie McCain to Bush. He used the class warfare card and attacked McCain’s foreign policy platform. He misrepresented John McCain's record on taxes. His various mis-statements on McCains voting record have handed a powerful weapon to the McCain campaign. He was quite often factually incorrect. He endeavoured to paint McCain as unreasonable. However Palin resonated strongly with ordinary voters.

This is a triumph of epic proportions for Sarah Palin who has been savaged by the bloodhounds of the liberal media. Not alone was she assailed but her family was torn to shreds by the same media. This woman could lead America in any crisis.

Obama friend Gwen Ifill moderates Palin Biden debate-Is there a conflict of interest?

Amazingly Obama supporter Gwen Ifell will moderate the debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden. She has written a new book on Barack Obama titled "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama." This is due out on inauguration day January 20th 2009. This coincides nicely with the anticipated inauguration of Barack Obama. Of course the American electorate may decide otherwise. After all there is many a slip twixt cup and lip

Has she not got a conflict of interest? If McCain/Palin win in November her book may bomb. Even at this late stage should she not withdraw from the debate? It is imperative that moderators in general and not just Ifell should have no obvious political connections.

This is how the publisher Random House describes the book:
"In THE BREAKTHROUGH, veteran journalist Gwen Ifill surveys the American political landscape, shedding new light on the impact of Barack Obama’s stunning presidential campaign and introducing the emerging young African American politicians forging a bold new path to political power. Ifill argues that the Black political structure formed during the Civil Rights movement is giving way to a generation of men and women who are the direct beneficiaries of the struggles of the 1960s. She offers incisive, detailed profiles of such prominent leaders as Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, and U.S. Congressman Artur Davis of Alabama, and also covers up-and-coming figures from across the nation. Drawing on interviews with power brokers like Senator Obama, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, Vernon Jordan, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, and many others, as well as her own razor-sharp observations and analysis of such issues as generational conflict and the "black enough" conundrum, Ifill shows why this is a pivotal moment in American history. THE BREAKTHROUGH is a remarkable look at contemporary politics and an essential foundation for understanding the future of American democracy."

At the commencement of the debate Gwen Ifill MUST refer to the fact that she has written "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama". Otherwise she leaves herself open to charges of bias. It is very much in her own interests as a journalist. Without a declaration of interest she faces a firestorm of controversy.
